Excellent quality food for a reasonable price
The service is very good, but don't like the conflict between the music in the restaurant vs the music coming from the kitchen. Loved the atmosphere of the dining room. I had the brisket egg roll which I did think there was enough smoked flavor but my wife thought it wasn't to bad. The brisket egg roll i thought was a little over cooked, but then again my wife loved the crunch. I would go out of my way to eat there again.
As a born and raised Marylander who retired to Florida 11 years ago. This is hands down THEEE most authentic Maryland seafood dishes I’ve found in Central Florida. The staff is “Disney “ friendly and helpful. There’s a comfortable laidback atmosphere. And the owner is very approachable and accessible. AND HE CAN COOK! As ole folks say “ he put his foot in those greens” lol
Nice place, Maryland seafood with lump crab cakes, grouper sandwiches, ribs, and wings. With very good ice-cream. .
For context, my wife is a Baltimore native and is fully aware of the taste of Maryland Crab, so we were excited to get those flavors here in Florida. Charm City is a Cool concept with a farmhouse'ish atmosphere with walk up counter service. Food is brought out to you from kitchen. Food just didn't sit well with our stomachs on this trip. Crab cake on the sandwich was large and deep fried leaving the outside a bit crunchy. The super grouper I had was blackened and for the fish, it tasted good. The bad was the creamy sauce with old bay. I think that is were it went wrong. It was thick like mayonnaise and very little flavor other than a bit of old bay. It soaked into the bread making it mushy and unpleasant. It was also used as a topping for the crabby fries. I opted to scrape it off and use ketchup only to salvage as much as I could of the expensive crab meat. Unfortunately, for the price, I don't think I will try the same items again.
Great food, try the crabby fries! And they're gluten free!
The food was very disappointing tonight. The crab cake sandwich was not seasoned. The crabby fries were not seasoned. I couldn't taste any Old Bay. It is way too expensive to be mediocre. Very sad.
Food was delish! It has a charming casual atmosphere inside and the staff had such friendly customer service. I highly recommend the seafood bisque and collard greens.
I feel very uncomfortable ordering, I think these guys need to improve their customer service a lot.
