This place is never heard of but we decided to stop on our way threw and im glad we did. Very friendly owner Bill who told me the story of his dad used to own it and he cooked up some Brussel spouts that I have never liked but these were so different they were very good. The servers were kind and explained some of there favorites people ordered it was just a all around wonderful experience. The food had flavor which I think is a good thing alot of fancy places do not season there food its just plain. I cant wait to return again and try something different. They have beef and noodles that it something u dont hear much anymore. They also have special dinner shows threwout the year. You can watch the show and enjoy the meal. This is not just a drive in this is also a sit down restaurant very nice home made everything.

Ignored while waiting to order as they answered over 5 call in orders while we watched and waited. Left after 15 minutes of waiting to order. Should have called but didnt think we had to call ahead at a drive in.

My 1st time here and Every one has an opinion and mine is the Yellowjacket burger wasn't something to write home about. The coleslaw wasn't to my liking. The fries were good. I ordered bacon but it didn't have any on it. I ordered medium well and it was medium rare , closer to rare. This is my experience but others may love the place. I don't think I'll be going back.

Flew in all the way from Milwaukee Wisconsin to eat here. Never disappoints.

I don't know what happened to one of the most iconic places in Polk ...I hadn't had Mike's in about 20 years...decided to stop by while my vehicle was being washed..an man was I disappointed...I will give them another chance one day because you get JUST ONE...$17 for a double bacon cheese burger and fries NO DRINK 🤯..an it had no flavor and my fries well let's just they limp greesy potatoe sticks...👎👎👎👎👎

1955 signature salad is my favorite, very light and fresh. Milk shakes are refreshing on a hot day as well.
