Outstanding eatery in Bartow. The steaks were delicious when we tried them. A excellent piece of steak that was cooked to my specifications and had a lot of flavor.

NOT Associated with Mikes drive in! I say that because I have nothing but bad experiences with them and I thought they were both owned and operated by the same people. They have cinnamon butter rolls and all their food taste home cooked and very flavorful. They are a little pricey but everything is right now.

I’m giving 2 stars rather than 1, only because the service was good. The food not so much. In fact it was the worst breakfast I have ever ordered. I ordered a corned beef hash omelette, diced potatoes with onion and toast. First thing I noticed when the food arrived was the potatoes were not like any potatoes and onion I had ever gotten at breakfast. They were FROZEN potatoes fried with some cooked diced onion threw on top. They tasted like they had been fried in old (gross tasting) oil. The omelette came with bell peppers and onion(unlike anything I had ever seen). I told the server I did not want peppers in my omelette. She informed me it came like that but would take it back and have it made without peppers and onions. Side note I did not see any CBH in that omelette. She returns shortly with an omelette. An omelette that was the grossest thing I have ever put in my mouth. The eggs were so way over cooked. An omelette should be yellow in color. This was brown.. so over cooked it changed the taste of the eggs. And as for the CBH there was barely any in the omelette, even after taking out the “filler”(peppers and onions). I asked for a box and left. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING. I wish I would have went with my first idea and went to Broadway Diner. Maybe then I would not have wasted $18!

Service was amazing. The guy that we had serving us, did a wonderful job. He was very attentive and very patient with all our weird requests. The food was downright amazing. It was right on time. We finished quickly and talked for a little while and no one rushed us out. It was great!

I had the fried chicken tenders. There wasn’t anything fantastic about it, but there typically isn’t for tenders. I was shocked at what all came with the meal though, and for the price. I got the tenders, a side, and a large salad. The service was average and the atmosphere was a bit plain, but overall I enjoyed my visit and food.
If you like being seated at a damaged table, having your rolls, soup, salad, and main course brought out all at the same time, and having it all taste terrible, then this is the place for you! The beef orzo was cold and mediocre at best. The salad, although they do toss it before you, was not fresh at all and had several wilted pieces in it. My son ordered the steak on a stick and fries off the kids meal, while I ordered the prime rib and steamed broccoli. The only thing that had some semblance of taste was the steak on the stick. His fries looked and tasted like they were cooked hours ago. The prime rib (which was ordered medium) was cold and had absolutely no taste to it. Even the horseradish that was served with it was watered down/almost tasteless. The broccoli tasted like it was steamed with fish. The taste of fish on the broccoli was overpowering to the point it was inedible...unless you like your vegetables to taste like fish. I wish I had something good to say about the place but the overall experience from beginning to end was awful.

I walked in, greeted the lady at the door and was ignored. ( I think she was the owner or a manager) Without a word, she went to the kitchen. When she returned another couple came in after me, she greeted them and seated them inside the restaurant. Again I greeted when she came back and I received "you ordering to go?" I wasn't but she decided that for me to the point where she made me so uncomfortable I waited outside until my order was done. Then my order was wrong because I realized she wasn't paying attention when I ordered. Being a person of color some of this is too be expected but this place is subpar and she lets you know it. Stay away from this place

Half the menu was not available. Not having Buns with 3 grocery stores within a mile of a restaurant seems a bit rediculous when it eliminates the ability to serve half your menu. The server was very nice and apologetic every time she came back to the table to tell us something else was not available for our group. Will not be returning.

We love Mike's!!! The owner is a hard a$$!!! He runs that place like day three of boot camp!!! If he ain't yelling the food ain't moving!! The staff is always running never does my drink get less than half!! The food is simple but made perfect!! They need better chairs they are dated!! The tables too. This is our go to when that "I don't know" fight is about to start!! The prices are reasonable. The portions are big!!
