Food was great. We preferred the filet to the ribeye.

The lobster appetizer was also fantastic.

We will definitely be back, there aren't many great food options on this side of Pinellas.

Wasn't very impressed. I got duck breast. Skin was soggy and chewy, which was disappointing. Lobster bisque appetizer/soup was like warm at best. Pan sauce was full of bitter burnt stuff. The cauliflower puree was cold and sad with no seasoning. Truffle fries were pretty good. My wife got the band that was better, but was served on the wrong type of dish (piece of slate). So the sauce couldn't be poured on the fish, and you had to dip it into a shot glass. Weird. Restaurant is decorated cool.

We had a great experience, literally the only customers. Usually they are closed on Mondays but we were lucky to make reservations and they opened for us. Started with french onion soup, the best I've ever had. I had the steak au poivre with fries and she had the chicken normandie. Not to be a broken record but the fries, best ever. Steak and chicken were good but the soup and fries were the stars. Tabitha was fabulous, helpful and friendly. Will be back for sure.

The food was absolutely incredible, but the service left something to be desired. Overall, I recommend Chez Colette's if you're in the mood for something delicious and don't mind a wait.

# Food
We attended one of the two Valentine's Day seatings, which featured a fixed menu. The lobster bisque was perfectly composed, the lamb was beautifully seasoned and falling off the bone, and the hazelnut chocolate creme cake was absolutely divine.

# Service
Our server was one of two working the Valentine's Day shift. While the service was quite slow - it took almost an hour after seating for the first course for all of the guests to have drinks and the first course to come out - she was constantly attentive towards her tables. Unfortunately, the older server who was working with her had a bad habit of sitting to chat with tables while ours picked up the slack, which slowed down service considerablty. While this issue definitely could have been alleviated with extra staffing, I think it would have been fine if both of the serving staff were putting in the same amount of effort.

Chez Colette's is a small, intimate establishment with classy decor. The only thing holding back the atmosphere was that while we were waiting to be seated, we noticed that our shoes kept sticking to the floor in the reception area.

It was an ok place. The waitress was really nice and pleasant.
The owner got the bottle of wine and uncorked it at the table, had us try it and we said it was too bitter. She then said we had to drink it due to her uncorking it.
Then, the owner walked by our table with a large bag of trash. We're not going back.

The food and service are outstanding, with each dish showing real attention to detail and true French flavors. I usually stay away from raw preparations, yet the steak tartare completely won me over and ended up being one of the most memorable bites I have had recently. It is a wonderful choice for quiet dates and special celebrations.

Gem of a spot. Everything is always exquisite. Casual yet 5 star dining. My wife and I have been coming here for yrs and I'm embarrassed I haven't left review yet. Wine is always on point. The cheese!! Forget it! They have a Roquefort that's game changing. Filet is amazing! If you get a chance try the lobster ravioli. Don't hesitate, just come here. You'll love it. ❤️

Chez Colette is a charming little French bistro in Belleair Bluffs, run by a delightful husband-and-wife team. He’s the talented chef working magic in the kitchen, while she keeps everything humming along with a warm smile.

We met friends for dinner and started with a charcuterie board packed with cool options, including a couple of new-to-us items we really enjoyed. For starters, I dove into the French onion soup—rich, cozy, and just perfect. My friend couldn’t get enough of her fresh arugula salad, and the escargot was a total hit, with every bite bursting with flavor.

For mains, I had the wild-caught shrimp risotto, which was super creamy and delicious. My husband’s beef bourguignon was hearty and packed with rich flavor. Our friends went for the duck leg confit, which she raved about, and the special—a 16-ounce Delmonico steak (really a ribeye) cooked to absolute perfection.

Dessert was a real treat! We shared the decadent chocolate mousse and an espresso over vanilla ice cream with salted caramel drizzle—both were out of this world. I noticed a few people enjoying the filet mignon, and it’s definitely on my list for next time.

Chez Colette’s cozy vibe means you’ll want to book a table ahead of time. It’s totally worth the drive to Bel Air Bluffs for a meal that feels like a warm hug from France!

Was there a couple of weeks ago. Not cheap, but worth the price. Had a Steak which was excellent.

Thought we would give it a go. Overcooked grouper and overcooked risotto, soupy and way too salty and all one flavor note. Not impressed. Chicken dish? Again just skinless chicken breast chopped up in small pieces covered in the same soupy sauce and just looked so unappetizing. No color, no texture. Not cool when everything on your plate is cooked and drowned in the same cream sauce. Will not return.

Had never been before. Pleasantly surprised. It was hard to choose since there were so many good selections between the apps, cheeses, wines and entrees. Everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend the warm goat cheese salad and beef Bourgogne. Come hungry!
