Went in bar one afternoon because it looked very edgy. What a find. Very old Florida with a neat history. Tried to make a reservation but they would booked. Called the next day and had a cancellation for dinner. Best in Boca. The environment is beautiful and food and service is superior. If you are in the area and can get in don’t miss

hey gee

Spent a few days on the island and had lunch at temptations and everything was delicious, service was superb but it was lunch, pastrami on rye and fried grouper done beautifully.Great lunch.Went to dinner and it's a different place.Once again service was impeccable, but this time the food was beyond stunning. My beautiful wife who has been after me to take her there had perfect crab au gratin with roasted sweet potatoes and grilled asparagus and she raved the entire meal.I ordered the "seven ounce" blackened Filet with baked potato and grilled asparagus. My steak came out and I was stunned at the size of it, I asked our server if it was the seven ounce and she told me the chef cuts them to order and has a bit of a heavy hand.It was huge.My guess almost twelve ounces.Cooked to a perfect medium. I took one bite and could not believe what I was tasting.I was a Starwood Chef for 18 years and my son in law ran Shula's Steak House for three of those years and I can say without reservation that this was the finest piece of meat I have ever encountered. That steak literally melted in my mouth.Oh my, I forgot to mention the little bowl of lobster meat they serve with a small amount of corn and vegetables in it that was dangerously delicious. It's call lobster corn chowder and lobster is indeed the main ingredient. If you are anywhere near here, pay the six bucks to get over the bridge and treat yourself to one of the finest meals you will ever eat!

One of the best places to eat on the island. The Island favorite, with snapper and Brussel sprouts is the best.

Came before dinner and after lunch. The bar was the only thing open. We sat at the one hightop in the bar area. Grouper fingers and fries were delicious. Lightly breaded like we like. The man working the bar was friendly and attentive.

Just perfect, Old Florida ambiance with really good food at a good value. Staff are super friendly and responsive. Don't miss Temptations if you are on Gasparilla.

We dined at The Temp our first night on the island and what a treat! The atmosphere is upbeat and the service was impeccable. I had the burrata tomato salad and it was incredible. Layers of flavor, so, so good. For dinner I had the pan seared red snapper and my husband had a tuna special. Both were delicious. We will definitely return!!

Always consistent and wonderful. My Grouper Almandine was wonderful. Dad's Pompano-was terrific also. Service attentive but not pushy.

Our friend recommended this to us and we're so glad she did. Overall it was a great evening and a solid four star experience. I'm not sure if this is true, but I love that their menu feels like a daily menu that perhaps has some change from day to day. It is fairly small and for that reason I already appreciated this place! Seafood is definitely the shining star here but they do have a few other options. I ordered the Pompano because I've never had it or seen it in a menu. The server worked with me and the chef so that it was gluten free and dairy free which I was very thankful for but had hoped they would have come up with some sort of sauce or seasonings for the Pompano for me like I had requested. It ended up being plain and still very good and cooked well, but again, for such a nice place I didn't think my request was too much to ask. My baked potato was plain but also delicious and the side of green beans and carrots was really good! I'm glad they don't skimp on the quality of their sides. The history of the restaurant is really neat if you read the story on the menu. It helps explain why you feel like you're in a time capsule while dining there. I do have to say though, it almost feels like it has an identity crisis. The quality of the food and menu is quite high, but the interior isn't up to that caliber. The super old school floors and diner style booths are examples. Again, the history is neat and I'm sure some people appreciate these old features of the restaurant, but it just didn't do it for me. I'd return when we're back down in the area, as the food is definitely worth the visit. I'd recommend checking out this place; just don't blink because you'll miss it driving by!

Great location with a very cool atmosphere. The food was ok. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again. The service was great in the bar area. The restaurant side was poor at best.
