“I was on Gasparilla Island to show my watercolor paintings at the Art On Park Avenue fine art show. My husband stopped over at the Tortuga Mexican Street Cuisine for lunch. He returned to the show with a steak bowl and two tamales (one chicken and one pork). He requested both the mild (green) and hot (red) sauces for the food. Everything was AMAZING! the sauces had just the right amount of Zing for their heat levels and both added a nice and unique flavor to each food item. We will definitely return to the Tortuga!”

“After a long day of driving, this place was exactly what we needed. The ambiance is relaxing and welcoming, with all staff smiling. Jody, our server, was attentive and pleasant. I had the Caesar salad with seared tuna, and it was superb (photo). My wife had the "small" shrimp and grits, and it was tasty as well as a generous portion. We shared the mango key lime pie, which was delicious. Sometimes you just get lucky; tonight was one of those times.”

“Restaurant setting gets a 5, food gets a 3, which equals a 4 overall. Really nice marina setting in Bokelia. The venue is small but has a nice vibe, views, and service. The food was another story. Two of us had grouper sandwiches, and two of us had grouper platters (no bun). The sandwiches were (reportedly) OK, but the platters were not. The grouper in the platters was like small dried-out dollar pancakes. It's very disappointing for a restaurant chain that has been a mainstay in the area for many years. The operation on McGregor is not like this one. (food-wise).”

“Ice cream is some of the best in FL! We are here on vacation and have gone 3 times since Sunday. Each time young lady with blonde hair is there. She is very friendly and lets you sample as much as you want. Gator trail is the best or the caramel brownie one. Thank you so much for making this vacation memorable. Susan is also an amazing lady as well. She is a Christian too!

“Jake was our server tonight and he was exemplary with his menu suggestions, patience and expediency. The drinks, salads and bread were good. Our appetizers were the Shrimp-Cargot, Caprese flatbread and a large French Onion soup. All were delicious. Entrees were Chicken Parmesan, French Dip, All you can eat fish fry (Cod), Beef Stroganoff and Fettuccini Alfredo which were all very good.”

“It is a fine outdoor tropical setting with exceptional staff that are helpful but not hovering. The kitchen creates great food. The beach is the standard fantastic Florida beach. There are umbrellas with lounge chairs provided and towels as well. All one needs to bring is themselves and swimming clothes.”

“The sandwich maker was Autumn I think. She is very efficient, friendly and offered excellent service by making sure our sandwiches were exactly how we wanted them. This specific Subway and Autumn makes this our “go to” Subway!!”
