“My wife and I and one of our sons enjoyed a great meal at the Crows Nest Steakhouse. This was in celebration of our 59th anniversary. We love the duck presentation, extra crispy was our request and what we got. Our son had a steak with mushrooms, just perfect he said. My wife and I shared a delightful Pinor and I had a Breckenridge rum cask finished bourbon to finish off the meal. What a treat. Great food, wine and service. The 1950s music shuffle in the background was also enjoyable. We were at first concerned about the traffic and causeway lane closures in traveling from Shell Point to Captiva. But to our delight, leaving home at 4pm, there was no traffic going or coming back. So, support our delightful island restaurants during this slow, off-season.

They have a vast menu of items to chose from all cooked fresh to order.Tacos El Viejon retaurant/food truck business is truly without a doubt a valuable and VERY well loved asset to this island and most certainly to the folks who reside or just visit here. ( I know I'm not just speaking for myself when I say, From the time the Taco El Viejon family first opened their doors to their business on this island their food has been nothing short of amazing. ) When hurricane Ian struck tragedy to this island they stepped up to helping feed folks for free for months after Ian destroyed our small.island. They have the best carne asada tacos hands down ! If you haven't stopped by for some delicious eats then you're missing out. Get over there and stop in and visit them.

“Great daytime Cafe on the island. They serve breakfast and lunch all day with a good variety and big menu. My wife greatly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. All the staff here is kind and attentive and they keep your coffee topped off. We're looking forward to eating here again on a future visit.”

Notified waiter of dairy allergy but was served green beans cooked in butter. Wow were they delicious. But I got sick. The chef talked to me at 10:30p at night and is committed to doing better in the future. I will eat there again but will be very clear about the allergy. Delicious food and really nice people!

Dietary restrictions: Failed to accommodate stated dairy allergy of butter on the beans. Received conflicting information as to butter on the prime rib.
