“Catina Captiva was a great choice for us to make on a Sunday afternoon on Captiva. There was available parking, no wait for a table, and the service was on point. There is outside table seating on sand with nice umbrellas to keep you cool. The food was served hot, table service was speedy, and the portions sizes were generous. The prices were surprisingly moderate even though the restaurant was on the northern part of the island. The walls were covered in dollar bills decorated by customers who had visited Cantina. We hope to return to see if ours is still where we hung it. Lastly, the restroom was clean, which is a big deal for restaurants. You won't be disappointed. Stop on by for a drink if you are in the area!”

Then 30 more for food ordered while waiting for appetizers. Too long”

“Red Fish Grill on Captiva was a solid lunch spot for us, especially hanging out at the pool bar. The serving portions were large and generous, making it great value for a relaxed midday meal. Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, which fit the laid-back island vibe perfectly. The pool bar setting made lunch feel extra casual and enjoyable—easy, breezy, and exactly what you want while on Captiva. Not quite perfect, but definitely a place we’d happily return to.”

“Everything from food to drinks to ambiance to service was first class. Lovely restaurant, we sat out on the patio and it was a perfect evening. The food was delicious and our server Hannah was very attentive, but not hovering. We certainly will make a point of going there again and a new spot to take visitors that I am certain they will enjoy.”

“A nice location that I visited while visiting the gulf coast. Food was decent, drinks were cold, and overall a pleasurable experience. Visited by boat and had plenty of dock space. Walked up to bar area where we ordered drinks and started tab and walked up to a table to sit for lunch. While we got out food, ended up walking up to bar for another drink. While this part falls on me, did not pay close attention to the bill and realized they tagged on a service fee, which was essentially the tip. I generously tipped on the total balance, not realizing tip was included. Once back at home, attempted to contact the location and never heard back. While it clearly falls on me, think it is crappy when locations tag on service fees for small groups. Mix in a few cocktails, and pretty sure I'm not the only person who fell for this. Don't mind paying island pricing, however the added service charge is annoying especially when you are pretty much expected to walk up to bar and order your drinks. guess the servers had a good tip day. would probably go back, but would be more attentive to the tip surcharge.”

“Huge shoutout to the KIND and HONEST TEAM at Doc Fords in Sanibel! 🙌 We’ve been going there for many years and their food is always delicious-one of our favorite spots for a reason. We had dinner there Sunday and a couple of days later I realized my wallet was missing. I called in hoping for the best, and to my surprise (and relief!) they had it safe and sound- with EVERYTHING still inside! So very grateful for people who do the right thing. “We are on a girls weekend trip, we came across Pinocchio's Original Italian Ice Cream on our first night and it was so delicious that we had to go back on our second night. Our dinner plans ran over and we pulled in to Pinocchio's at 9:02pm. We were greeted by the sweetest employees Maddy & Talon. They let the five of us in and served us with a smile! We were in and out in less than 5 or so minutes. They made our night!! We made sure to tip well! We likely will go back for our third and final night on the island!”

“Everything is made fresh with authentic flavors and is absolutely delicious! Don’t even get me started on the Torta because I won’t stop. I have tried both the chicken and the pork and they are amazing. The pork is just outstanding though. Stop by and try them. You will not be sorry you did.”

“We had a reservation last night on arrival they said they had to cancel because the computer was down and could not take credit cards. We said we had cash, they then said it could be a long wait before we would be served as kitchen also relied on the computer. We took our chances went in and waited, eventually had a great meal ! Perseverance is omnipotent , from a mixed race party.”

“My friends and I have been coming to Sanibel for 24 years. This year was hard for me personally. Recently diagnosed with Alpha Gal a severe allergy to many things including meat dairy eggs and others. Already was allergic to gluten. I was afraid I wouldn't have food options on the island until I found The Sanibel Sprout. Their coconut bacon BLT saved my life and I went there 5 out of 7 days. The ladies there are amazing and they even have Bible verses painted on shells you can buy. I would highly recommend and just wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of me!”
