There are dollars all over the walls that people color and staple, this was really fun for our 8 year old. Staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. We would definitely return.”

“The restaurant was lovely decorated and we were warmly greeted by the host. Although we had reservations we were told we may chose wherever we wanted to sit. The waitress was a pleasure and the food was delicious. We had lump crab/shrimp cocktail, caprese salad and fillets with mushrooms. The whole night was perfect and we even caught the sunset. A bit pricey but worth the experience.”

Service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, which fit the laid-back island vibe perfectly. The pool bar setting made lunch feel extra casual and enjoyable—easy, breezy, and exactly what you want while on Captiva. Not quite perfect, but definitely a place we’d happily return to.”

“We were South Seas Resort guests enjoying a date night while our two boys were at Kids Camptiva night out. The food was beyond exceptional as well as the service. Our server, Knox, was amazing with well rounded knowledge on the dishes and his recommendations. And kudos to him for serving us in the heat outside…he didn’t mind a bit and served us with joy. We got the fried Brussel sprouts (so crispy and light) and risotto (rich and flavorful) as the side. My husband had the scrumptious short ribbed ravioli and I had the fresh local snapper with a scampi of seafood from scallops, shrimp and clams - all so light and full of flavor. The atmosphere was a perfect setting for our evening date and followed with a walk on the beach. Knox thought ahead and offered us refreshing ice cold water for the walk. We highly recommended for a low key, romantic evening out—with exceptional service and food all in one place while staying at South Seas!”

“We came here for a sunset dinner with a great ocean view on the second floor. The old fashioned menu was terrific especially the breakfast version that was a sweet / salty balance. Our starter of Beef Tips & Wild Mushrooms was tender and flavorful. Our mains we split the cowboy ribeye medium rare and it was melt in your mouth. The brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese side left us very satisfied. Our server Brian I believe was very attentive and helpful giving us suggestions. We overhead another table nearby being extremely rude to him but he maintained his professionalism way more than I would in his shoes! (Some people just shouldn’t go out) If you’re visiting and want a special dinner with a view I highly recommend giving a try.”

“Huge shoutout to the KIND and HONEST TEAM at Doc Fords in Sanibel! 🙌 We’ve been going there for many years and their food is always delicious-one of our favorite spots for a reason. We had dinner there Sunday and a couple of days later I realized my wallet was missing. I called in hoping for the best, and to my surprise (and relief!) they had it safe and sound- with EVERYTHING still inside! So very grateful for people who do the right thing. “We are on a girls weekend trip, we came across Pinocchio's Original Italian Ice Cream on our first night and it was so delicious that we had to go back on our second night. Our dinner plans ran over and we pulled in to Pinocchio's at 9:02pm. We were greeted by the sweetest employees Maddy & Talon. They let the five of us in and served us with a smile! We were in and out in less than 5 or so minutes. They made our night!! We made sure to tip well! We likely will go back for our third and final night on the island!”

“I love this place! I had their chorizo burrito, which was large and super good! It also had rice and beans inside and it comes with a side of green salsa-type dipping sauce It cost me $12 80 total. Card payments accepted here with no annoying guilt-tripping screen! ❤️ I like the casual vibe, too. Friendly and helpful staff.”

“We had a reservation last night on arrival they said they had to cancel because the computer was down and could not take credit cards. We said we had cash, they then said it could be a long wait before we would be served as kitchen also relied on the computer. We took our chances went in and waited, eventually had a great meal ! Perseverance is omnipotent , from a mixed race party.”
