“5 stars all around! Pete the chef shows off his many years of culinary experience with his ever changing creations.... Meals that taste delicious and are beautifully presented. Shawnda and Alexis make sure everyone has what they need and their bubbly personalities add to the charm. You can sit inside or outside and enjoy the view.”
“Went last night with a groupOf 8 it was excellent! Food was delicious, wine and beer choices are great. Service and decor all5 stars.Dietary restrictions: Friend has a shellfish allergy and had no problems or worries.”
“Even though the area is still recovering after Hurricane Ian, the food is quite good! Good portions for the price! Very fresh tasting tacos as well as rice and beans! Would come back if in the area again!”
“We arrived at Tween Waters pretty late and we were happy that the Shipyard was still open. Frank was our server and was excellent. We ordered the ceviche for an appetizer and it was excellent! We both then ordered the grilled grouper sandwich and it was very good as well. It suffered by comparison to Lazy Flamingo's Mesquite grilled grouper sandwich but it's still a great sandwich.”
“This was a great Starbucks location! Location was clean and the baristas were fast and even walked our drinks to us from behind the counter. They also were consistent with any other Starbucks.”
“Busy little place that is not pretentious..bar food, nothing spectacular but then again we were eating on the beach, so hand held was the plan. Enjoy the sun, the sand and the ocean all day, walk into the Mucky Duck for drinks and some food, ice cold beer will taste sooo good!Parking: We pulled up to the Mucky Duck to off load our beach chairs etc..then parked at the end of the block $20/day...we knew we were going to sit on the beach so no parking in their lot..strictly for patrons using all their outside seating which is quite nice.”
“Dinner was amazing! We started with a couple different appetizers, and they were very good. Dinner was their grouper over lobster risotto that was exceptional! We'll definitely be back!”
“Beautiful location, great food and excellent service, especially from Allison who was pleasant and friendly while running constantly to service multiple tables. If ANYTHING is not up to top standards, don’t hesitate to ask for the manager, Michael, and he will make it right.”
“Was in Captiva last week and had breakfast there 3 times. Mikayla was our server twice and she was just excellent! Our food was very good each day as well. We will be back!”
“What a great time we had, lunch every day and the Chef prepared a special meal by order too. It was handy to not have to cook and have such a nice meal. Dan made great cocktails and all the servers were so friendly. A great fun atmosphere.”
“We ordered Pizza via phone from Captiva Island Pizza--16" Cheese, 16" pepperoni. It was outstanding. One of best pepperoni pizzas I've had. Juicy, perfect dough.Captiva Island Pizza had it ready for pickup exactly when specified. Highly recommend.”
“Service was excellent. From initial greeting by hostess to wait staff attention. Just right, not too much. Only complaint was the cloudy weather. We will have to come back on a sunny evening at the bar. Many thanks”
“This place is the real deal. They have real frozen custard! The vanilla custard had a nice mouth feel and was creamy. The staff were super friendly and gave us our product with exceptional service. A Sanibel gem!”
“Very nice, busy with takeout, but still nice and quiet on porch and deck! Many fancy pastries to tantalize you. Egg and cheese croissant was fantastic. Very friendly ,We will be back !”
“THE BEST frozen dessert place. We were visiting the area and called into the Frozen Flip Flop on a Monday, they were closed. But the owner was dropping something off and invited us in and served us anyway. What a lovely person, gorgeous froyo and a great array of toppings. Go here, you won't regret it.”
“Wow!! We struck gold here!! The service was 200% amazing, food...(hey...Gordon Ramsay, this Chef would definitely please you!) Krystian was Manager, came table to table (impressive)! And Ayoub delighted us with recommendations and tips about Morocco (where we're visiting soon)...The food was one of the best meals we've ever had and we're world travelers 10 months a year ....Vegetarian options: They will make you happy!Parking: Plenty of parking when we visited in April”
“We love going to The Perfect Cup so much, we took our new neighbor there for brunch today. Catherine was our server today. We’ve had her as a server many times before. Catherine is a nice young woman, always smiling. She’s very good at her job. I always recommend The Perfect Cup to people looking for a new place to check out for casual lunch/brunch. Excellent food, fabulous coffee. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“A good place to have lunch in Matlacha. It can be a little hit or miss with the quality varying between good and very good. If the weather is nice it's fantastic to eat on their outside deck. There's a decent amount of parking at the restaurant but on a busy day it can be a challenge to find a place to park.Update 5 years later (original review 2018): Still an excellent choice for lunch or dinner if you're visiting Matlacha or Pine Island (or just want to drive over from Cape Coral or Ft. Myer). If you've never had mullet before, try their Mullet Sampler Platter. You'll be amazed. It's listed as a "Starter" on the menu but it's enough to be an entree, and every bite of it is delicious: smoked mullet dip, blackened mullet (incredible), and fried mullet.”
“This is where the locals eat on Pine Island. Good food at reasonable prices. Daily specials with a good beverage selection. Save room for dessert! Florida at it's friendly best.”
“I was told it's a great little place to stop at the center there in pine Island and so we did before we went to go fishing I love tacos but it was a little windy that day so I had to make sure my ingredients didn't blow away at the tables LOL but it was very good!”
“March 29,2024DELICIOUS!Wonderful service and excellent food!Reservations are a must. We were a group of 12 but were split into a table for eight and one of four but we were informed of this in advance.Everything was top notch. Our server was very attentive yet we were not rushed. Our meals were beautifully presented and where applicable prepared as requested (steaks were perfect). There are many gluten free options and a few vegetarian options as well. The pianist, Scott, was the perfect touch to a relaxed atmosphere. There is a full bar and an extensive wine selection. The handicap lift was not working but there is a scissor lift in the back that was able to accommodate members of our group who could not navigate the stairs. Big plus that the owners had this available. It’s pricey but well worth the visit. I look forward to visiting again.”
“Ordered take-out. Got the blackened shrimp platter with seasonal vegetables and chicken sausage jambalaya. It was delicious. The dozen shrimp were cooked perfectly! The seasonal vegetables were good with just the right amount of seasoning. The jambalaya had lots of chicken and andouille sausage. Yum, I will certainly be back before my vacation is over. Service was quick and courteous. Highly recommended!”
“Late evening dinner after watching the sunset at Captiva. Great service, food had great flavors and presentation. We enjoyed the pizza, chicken Parm, fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and broccolini and a fish stew special of the night. Highly recommended for families And anyone visiting the area. Bonus, Live entertainment!”
“From the atmosphere to the hostess and services to the food this was one of our best overall dining experiences we had all month on island. Prime rib and seafood vol au vent was amazing. Delightfully romantic!”
“The finest Chicago Dog I've had here in SWFL! Great flavor! This dog is pure perfection! And they use quality hot dogs that give that classic snap when you bite them! Delicious!!!”
“Such a great location for an ice cream shop! They have a tiny inside store and a few tables outside. The line looks intimidating but it moves quick! The flavors were kind of hit or miss. I wish they had descriptions for the original flavors so I didn't have to hold up the line while asking. My favorite was the cookie butter flavor. Unfortunately it wasn't available the second time I went so I ordered the cookies and cream and cookie dough instead. They were extremely disappointing because there was no cookie dough and only one bite of cookie. The vanilla ice cream tastes great but I am just not a fan of plain vanilla and it wasn't what I was looking for. Overall still great ice cream but you have to find a flavor that works for you! PS. They have premade pup cups which is an awesome perk!”
“I was invited here by a friend who lives in the area. Don’t think I’ve ever noticed it before as it is very low profile. It is a true locals bar/hangout with basic beers and a few quick ets.”
“This was a fun stop! We just found it online and said why not! Well it was the best decision!! The cook even checked up on us to make sure everything was good! Of course it was good! Shrimp burger! Wow. Everything was fresh and yummy!”
