Tortuga Mexican Street Cuisine

The food was HORRIBLE. I'm not exaggerating when I say I felt I was eating vomit. The rice was mushy and wet from the bean 'water'. Three people were working at the food truck. The older gentleman cooking and the lady at the window are extremely friendly and attentive. The younger guy came out of the food truck with his gloves on. Walked down the block...was gone for 5 minutes. Came back with something bundled in his hands and went right back to cooking without changing his gloves. He was touching the tortilla to prepare the food. I would stay away. The food is not good or authentic and extremely over priced. I ordered the bowl because I didn't want the young guy touching my food. I ate 2 bites and trashed the whole thing. $15 dish.

Absolutely wonderful food! The steak tacos and the pork tamales are fantastic! Guacamole also was great! Every trip to Boca Grande requires a visit to Tortuga’s!

A little tricky to find but well worth it! We had the pork tacos that were huge and delicious. The only disappointment was we couldn't get the jalapeno tamales, but we will be back for them! ?

Bowl and tacos were refreshing, light and tasty! Regular mild was spicy enough for us, recommend a side of spicy to add if wanted. A perfect amount of food as we went on a 3 hour paddle after eating and kept us energized the whole trip! Will return for sure, one of our ♡s.

After agreeing to leave a four dollar tip, the cashier helped himself to a six dollar tip unbeknownst to me. Had I used cash there would be no scamming or skimming of my card.

We just had an excellent lunch at the Tortuga Mexican Street Cuisine. We had shrimp ceviche (mild), guacamole and chips and shrimp tacos (mild). Everything was very fresh and tasty. There were other people eating outside and everyone seemed to love the food! I highly recommend this place for lunch when you enjoying the Boca Grande beach for a day.

You order from a window. Minimal seating outside but the service was great and so was the food.
