It was our first visit to Chez Marie and our experience was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary there and were not disappointed. We were early for our reservation and were seated immediately. The staff, especially Marie & Pierre, were cordial, attentive, and informative. We will return for another special occasion.

We are devotees of French cuisine and find Chez Marie to be the best in Boca. Fromage appetizer superb. Duck incredible and I have never seen bigger scallops. Marie the owner is attentive to everything that goes on. Wait staff as attentive.
What a find...a real winner.

The four of us had never been there and we were absolutely delighted from the greeting to the dessert. We enjoyed the freshly baked and warm French bread while savoring the onion soup and escargot. My husband had never had duck ala orange and now has a new favorite dish. I had grilled branzino and sautéed veggies and a friend had a steak which was cooked perfectly. The crème brûlée and lemon tart were delicious. The atmosphere is charming, restaurant clean and during the summer weekdays, a 3 course meal is $49, with portions the same as the regular menu selection. And our server was attentive and very helpful. Definitely going back soon!

The French onion soup was the best thing we had. The Cesar salad was fine, completely passable. The fish was half raw (and I normally eat it medium rare so I really mean it was raw). And eating the parts that were cooked, it was just super bland - really tasteless. The meat in the boeuf bourgonion was so overcooked and dry. Mashing it up to soak up the sauce helped a bit. The flavor wasn't bad, but it isn't made the traditional way with lardons and pearl onions. The desserts were over sweet for a French restaurant, American style, not French at all. It was Bastille day. We expected traditional French music based on their website, but instead it was super loud (like we couldn't hear each other across the table at all) karaoke. More Greek feeling than French. So, if that's what you're looking for great - but it wasn't what we expected.

If one wants to go to France without traveling more than a few miles, I think of no better French experience that Chez Marie (yes there really is a Marie there. From the moment you walk in to the time that you reluctantly leave i can think of no better experience. The ambience is gentle and reserved. They give space, but are there if you need advice or counsel or to just order. The wait staff is there to serve your every need. from filling up your water glass immediately to suggesting a drink order, entree or dessert. The food is superb. Stephane is the Chef and every selection is absolutely and totally magnificent The escargot are fat and juicy in a delicious garlic butter, the pate is wonderful, the onion soup magnificent the Duck L'orange is delicious. The Coq au Vin which consists of Leg & thigh of chicken in a red wine sauce infused w/ mushroom, carrots & pearl onions, served w/ a side of garlic-roasted potatoes & green beans I could go on but then I would make myself hungry again for their delicious desserts. Whether it's the mousse or the Lavender Crème Brûlée which is Lavender-infused custard topped w/ crispy caramelized sugar. In short they have created a French Culinary Paradise. Can't wait to go back.

A very enjoyable experience. Food was savory: escargot, duck a l'orange, Frenched rack of lamb, creme brulee, and a French chardonnay. Interior design and decorating adds to French authenticity. Service was good. And we met the namesake, Marie, who actively interacts with her patrons as soon as they arrive, seating them and ensuring their enjoyment. Very memorable and worth sharing. Reserve for your next special event or no event at all. Bon appétit!

Chez Marie is a hidden gem in the far corner of the shopping center next to The Polo Club in Boca Raton. As a small restaurant (perhaps 60 max.) it has a suitably small menu, which allows Marie and her chef husband to focus on quality. The salmon is excellent, as is the duck -- my two favorites -- but I've yet to find something that didn't please. A nice variety of wines, and perhaps two of each: meat, fish, poultry + salads, and three desserts. The place itself is charming, and Marie -- ah, Marie -- she's a beautiful, little bundle of smiling French energy. Walk in, she'll greet you at the door,, and you'll feel like you're with a long-time friend. Prices are quite reasonable; this is not one of those snooty French restaurants. It's French with a neighborhood touch and great cooking. Service is friendly and attentive, and one's even named -- believe it or not -- FRANCine. It doesn't get better than that. Being in a shopping center makes parking a snap; no valets needed. Go, and take someone you love.

Excellent neighborhood French restaurant. Foie Gras was perfectly done with a nice fig sauce. Large portion. Duck and Branzino excellent with nice side of veggies. Poached pear was a great dessert. Overall A+ dining. Great find.

My family and I are thrilled to have discovered this restaurant! The ambiance is cozy and very welcoming. The host and waitress were extremely professional and polite. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. The wait wasn't too long, and to top off the night, the desserts are amazing! We will definitely be returning soon.

The closest thing to authentic French food you will find in Boca or Delray. My boyfriend loves the duck l'orange as do all our friends we recommend specifically for that. I never tire of the fish specials with French sauce, not heavy, delicately flavorful. One day I want to try a soufflé. The service is excellent, and i love seeing a wife and husband team— hostess and chef.
