“Red Fox Diner deserves every bit of praise. Our server, Stanley, delivered the kind of attentive service you rarely experience when sitting outside. He kept our coffee and water refilled without us ever having to ask, checked on us frequently, and did it all with genuine care. At one point I even told him he was almost too good of a server.

The food matched the service. The oatmeal was hearty, delicious, and felt genuinely nutritious. The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was perfect and the home fries, which Stanley recommended, were outstanding.

Left IHOP because it wasn’t operating very well at the front door and came here, walked right in, sat down, significant other decided to take a bath with her water cup, it all got cleaned up, staff was just and they brought the experience right back to where it was supposed to be. “Lester’s Diner is the real deal – a classic South Florida institution since 1967 that delivers exactly what you want from a great diner: hearty portions, delicious food, and that welcoming retro vibe. We stopped by the Pompano location for a late breakfast, and everything was spot-on. The menu is massive, with all the classics – fluffy pancakes, crispy home fries, perfectly cooked eggs, and those legendary oversized coffee mugs that keep refilling like magic.
But what really took it to the next level was our server, Patti! She was an absolute superstar – friendly, attentive, quick with recommendations, and just genuinely warm. She remembered our order without missing a beat, checked in at the perfect times, and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. Patti’s energy and smile turned a simple meal into a memorable experience. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction.
The food came out fast and hot, portions were generous (we left stuffed!), and the prices are super reasonable. Clean, comfortable booths, great atmosphere – it’s everything a diner should be. If you’re in the area, near the airport, or just craving classic American comfort food, head to Lester’s and ask for Patti if you can. She’s the cherry on top of an already fantastic spot!

I went to this place years ago and was disgusted with the cleanliness. But it is totally different now. Try it out, you'll be surprised!!“
