Large portions for a good price served super fast. The jerk chicken at lunch (noon) texture was like it was cooked and sitting before served lukewarm. Spice forward flavor on the jerk chicken was enjoyable but no other flavors come through the dish. Seating was cramped and seemed a bit loose in the booth we used. Service was ok but seemed like I was putting the server out asking for ice and dressing. We were 1 of 2 customers. Improvement suggested is freshly cooked food remove a few tables and tighten up furniture. Servers should be happy to accommodate customers. Plantain s and rice were delicious and the prices was right.

A good buddy of mine introduced me to Rocksteady. The food is incredible, always consistent , and the people are a pleasure to talk too. I definitely recommend this spot for some good and clean food.

I didn’t even get the chance to try the food, and honestly, I have no desire to after the way we were treated. My amazing co-worker offered to treat me to lunch here since I love Jamaican food, but the experience was ruined the moment we walked in. The place reeked of mop water, and the woman behind the counter immediately got confrontational and flat-out refused to serve us once seeing my co-worker. Apparently, my co-worker had previously commented on the smell as she was a regular customer there before and that alone was enough for the woman to deny us service. Unbelievable. No professionalism, no courtesy, just bad vibes all around. We left and took our business somewhere else. If this is how they treat paying customers, I want no part of it. Word of mouth matters, and I’ll be sure to tell others to stay far away. Hospitality is everything, and this place has none.

First thing me trying caribbean food. The staff helped me with my selection. Tasted and filling. The plantains they served added a great flavor with my selection. I definitely recommend this place to others

We are vacationing in Boca for a week. I did a quick google search for a lunch spot to grab something after our round of golf! I was super excited to find Rocksteady! The reviews were awesome and the photos of the food looked delicious! My husband is Jamaican and we love trying new Jamaican restaurants everywhere we visit.
The menu was extensive and the food was so deliciously authentic!
Curry chicken, Jerk Chicken and Ox tails were on point ! The seasoning was spot on the sides where equally spectacular.

The best caribbean food around

We got Trays of Curry Chicken and Rice, and it was DELICIOUS and SO MUCH FOOD. We could have fed 15 people and the bill was only $200. Also My wife LOVES the OX TAIL!!!

Great place! The food is amazing. The service was friendly and you felt at home... Price was great! Yummy. I cant wait to go back!

Ad presents restaurant as an upscale experience. Nothing about restaurant is consistent with this theme. It is a small space with tables and chairs both too large and with no consistent pattern. Servers who appear to be owner and young family member were nice but acted as if they were inexperienced or not properly trained. Jerk Shrimp appetizer was good but small quantity. Main entree of Salmon and Duck were good but not sufficient given the higher price. Bread pudding was probably store bought. Menu had both beer and IPA options but only some of Bert were available. Overheard couple at table next to me express dissatisfaction with meal. My suggestion is drop promotion of upscale and compete with other moderately priced Jamacian restaurants. I don't plan on returning.

Had been wanting to try. I am vegetarian & looked at menu prior to going. There are 2 vegetarian dishes on the menu. Chefs Own Veggie Sandwich & Bob's Veggie Burger.
Waitress was very rude, place was completely empty at 12:30 on a Saturday. Waitress rushed me into corner seat with a menu & I told her I wanted the Chefs Own Veggie Sandwich. She rudely told me that is a Monday through Friday lunch special. I told her they should put that on the menu so customers know.
I ordered the only other veggie dish Bob's Veggie Burger. It was ok, I have made better at home.
Overall horrible experience and will not return. If the server was nicer I might have.
Put on menu that Chef's Own Veggie Sandwich is only during the week. Wish the owner was there, he probably would have made me the sandwich I specifically went for.
We need more Jamaican restaurants in east Boca
