Tarpon Lodge Restaurant

Perfect pre-dinner sunset out back on the dock. Nice ambiance. Good food. Good service. It was our 3 rd time back.

Tarpon Lodge is almost an hour drive, but finally decided to try it. It was a beautiful setting--the lodge, grounds, right on the water. We sat inside, but with a perfect view of the sunset. Our waiter was attentive and polite. One ordered the crab soup and crab cakes. The soup was delicious; she wasn't thrilled with the crab cakes (they looked fantastic). The waiter then brought some romoulade sauce and she enjoyed the entree. I ordered the fresh catch of the day, which was red snapper. Perfectly cooked with a cajun spice sauce, served with a spicy ride dish and a green vegetable. It's a special place suitable for a celebration, or a romantic dinner, or to enjoy the view.

Beautiful sunset view while eating the best food around! We started by sharing a cup of the Blue Crab corn chowder—a must have! Shared an appetizer of crab and avocado that was also to die for. Our dinners were Wagyu steak and seafood pasta. Absolutely amazing—everything was fantastic! Our server would get 10 stars if I could. Carol knew everything we needed to know about the must haves since we had never been here. She also paired perfect wines with our dinners. In the end we were too full for dessert but she sent us home with a piece of key lime pie. We had that the next day and boy—also a must have next time! Best Key Lime pie around. We will definitely be back and look forward to it!!

For a Friday night, a week before Halloween, it was very quiet. We had the pick of a table for two and we chose to sit near the window to watch the beautiful sunset. The starter bread was unbelievably delicious and we started with the charcuterrie board. I had a salad with blackened chicken for my meal with a red sangria and my husband had the crab cakes. So delicious. We were celebrating our anniversary so they offered us a dessert on the house. We ordered the caramel cheesecake. Oh my, it was so good! Our server was awesome and it wasn't a long wait for food. Great place, great view, great food, great service!

Quiet evening with great service and excellent food options. The filet mignon was exceptional, cooked to order, and very well prepared with cream, spinach, and mashed potatoes. The catch of the day, the Dover sole was extremely flavorful and surprisingly exceptional. This was our fourth visit to this restaurant, and we have never been disappointed. Excellent wine, pairings, and the waitress was kind and extremely helpful.

This place is beautiful and quaint. We had a large party w/ a lot of children and that didn't phase the staff. They were attentive and the food was delicious. Such a memorable experience!

The Tarpon is a gem. My steak came out perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. Service was top-notch, extremely friendly, and attentive. Everything was spot on except my wife's fish, which she felt was a little salty. She mentioned it, and without hesitation they whisked it away and brought out a brand new one, cooked to her liking. That right there is the mark of a great restaurant - not every dish will be perfect for every palate, but how they handle it makes all the difference.

The manager even came by to check in, which shows they truly care. Our server was fantastic too. It is a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Five stars, and we will definitely be back.

Oh... and the bread & butter is delightful! That's one of my guilty pleasures. It's the Italian in me. :)

We have had the same waitress twice now. She is awful. We go back because we love the venue and the food, but I promise if we get her again, we will demand someone else.

The food was amazing! Fresh bread and butter was so delicious all the way to the fresh fish and a steak. This is our new favorite spot! It's very quaint but was a perfect night for a nice date with the hubby.

Super good. The cheesecake was next level.

Tarpon Lodge has outstanding food and service! We highly recommend the restaurant for a date night, birthday or just because.
