“The Village Pub has been my family’s favorite restaurant in Naples for years. Every time we’re in town, we make a point to eat here because the food and atmosphere have always been excellent. Until now, we’ve never had a bad experience.

On this trip, my brother-in-law, who is a vegetarian, dined here twice. He usually orders the Impossible Burger, but for his second visit, he wanted to switch things up and asked if he could have an Impossible patty as a protein option for the Caesar Salad (which allows for added chicken, shrimp, or fish). The waiter simply said no, without offering to check if it was possible. This was disappointing, as there didn’t seem to be a reason why the substitution couldn’t be accommodated.

Additionally, when he ordered his Impossible Burger again, he requested it well-done—just as he had on his first visit, where the request was honored without issue. Unfortunately, this time, it arrived undercooked, likely because the waiter didn’t pass along the request.

We still love the Village Pub and will likely return, but this experience was frustrating. We hope to see a little more flexibility and attention to detail in the future!“
