Its been many years since we were last at Tarpon Bay, initially when we got married 14 years ago here at the Hyatt and then returning 5 years ago. They sat us in half of the restaurant that was initially empty only filling up later on. The waitress was initially nice but something didn't really click with her that made things awkward. We mentioned getting married but a quick ‘oh thats nice or something to that effect' was all we got. The meal was good, sea bass, sea scallops, lobster bisque but expensive. Minimum bottle of wine $60 or $22 per glass again expensive. Good for a one-off treat but I get the impression from the meal and from staying at the Hyatt that money is definitely the bottom line!

Tarpon Bay never disappoints. It was Friday Nite Date Night and time for Alaskan Crab Legs! Full order done to perfection with a salad and there was one happy couple. Food, service and atmosphere exceptional as always!

We have been to Tarpon bay a couple of times over the years, always excellent food ,excellent service The bar is very quaint, and the entertainment that night we were there was John Juan, he was very entertaining. Just listening to him would be worth going back for the night out.

The food was outstanding and the presentation was elegant. We requested that the children's meals be served first, and that request was met with ease. The birthday desserts (unexpected on my part) were beyond excellent!

I had the scallops and it was great Calamari was great Wife had the Maine lobster and it was so tuff she could not cut with a knife. Sent it back and next one about the same. She only had two bites. Very disappointed because she was excited about us having dinner with out the kids and she had already picked out the lobster. Other than that it was great. Just disappointing lobster

Tarpon Bay is one of the best restaurants ,with delicious food and exceptional service provided by our server Jason. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about menu . We are coming every year to this hotel, it's beautiful property with great ambiance and very friendly staff. I would recommend scallops, Chilean Sea Bass, and for dessert we had apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream!!! Outstanding service, food and drinks!!!

We're locals and had reservations for an anniversary dinner. We wanted something light, so decided to have the lobster bisque, which was excellent, and then decided to share the tapas. The ravioli tapa was just not good. They should remove that from the menu as it tasted burnt. Did not finish. The squash blossoms were very good but the shrimp and chorizo tapa again not good. Shrimp was overcooked chewy just not a tapas that should be on their menu. Staff was pleasant, but busy and a little discombobulated. they removed the two tapes from the bill. We will go back as prior we've never had a bad meal, but I would not order tapas again. They should just pick a few and put them on their appetizers and remove that whole section.

My wife and decided to treat ourselves at the restaurant. Its been several years since we been and did recall it was quite pleasant. Sadly this was not the case this time. I have to admit this was the worst dinner we had experienced. Upon arriving home in Fort Myers we both became very ILL and our stomachs made it known that our food entree were causing us to make frequent runs to the toilet. This lasted through out the night. The entrees were as followed , salmon , whole fried fish . lobster bisque and squash flower. Never Again !

One of our many visits to Tarpon Bay as a local year round resident. Always phenomenal, never disappointed. Special high marks this time as Management, with prior notice, was able to make delicious GLUTEN FREE version of the Lobster Mac n Cheese. What a treat. Service was also impeccable as always.

Had a large party in the Captains room. Was a great experience and the seafood was good. Also have a kids menu which ours enjoyed. Would definatley recommend when staying at the Hyatt.

Some of the BEST (if not THE best) seafood in town! Wish you guys would bring back the sardines because they were so good but every single thing I've ever eaten here has been delicious :)

Very pleased with the service. Food was very good. Oysters (both raw and Rockefeller) we had for appetizers were VERY small but delicious. It's pretty expensive which one would expect in a hotel. But it was good!

Honestly one of the best meals we have had in quite awhile. The atmosphere was wonderful, like eating in a boathouse. We were seated immediately The wine list was very good. The servers were on point. The salmon was some of the best we have ever had. It was my birthday and they put a candle on our dessert. Live music was playing in the bar. A very cool vibe. If in the area, we would definitely come again.

Oh… my… God. I don’t know if it was because we had just arrived after a 2.5h drive or if the place was really this good, but I have to tell you, it blew my mind! The burrata and berries appetizer was just perfect, very fresh and natural, not too sweet at all. The snapper was… to die for. The Diablo sauce is out of this world! PLEASE try it. Ambiance and service were perfect, super relaxing, just what we were looking for to start our 4th of July holiday
