This place has been on my “places to try” list since last July, made it there yesterday for lunch with two friends. Great atmosphere and great service were the perfect setting for outstanding food. The 3 orders were; the burger, the Porchetta sandwich and I ordered the French dip (since that is not a routine menu item). All three were amazing, my French dip was great, just wish they would use a container for the Au jus, that actually fit the sandwich. So dipping was not an option, but rather you need to pour the Au jus over the sandwich. Kinda weird for such a buttoned up restaurant, to miss on that point.Everything is made in house, including the ketchup for their wonderful potato wedges and the phyllo wrap on their in house made hot dogs (pigs in a blanket), homemade mustard accompaniment was the bomb. Buns are supplied by Old School bakery, which were spot on. Great selection of IPA’s, I chose “Lunch” by Maine Beer company and also The Deadhead IPA from Destihl. Can’t wait to go back and grab dinner at the bar.Great also knowing that their meat is all sourced from a local Florida farm that uses no antibiotics or hormones.Vegetarian options: I would not recommend it as a vegan outpostParking: Parking is free street side, but catch as catch canWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on ground level and can accommodate a wheelchair

I'd go 3.5 stars. Nice place. Quaint. Good for drinks. Chill for a while. Older crowd here but if you're at the bar you'll enjoy some youth. The service was great and food was good. The bread pudding....you've never had anything like it. Although not my favorite bread pudding of all-time, you must try it. You've never had bread pudding like this place serves bread pudding. I won't spoil the thunder, just get it. Don't get confused that this is an upscale BBQ joint. It's literally a butcher bar. You can come here and actually buy meat to take home. So you ask, why not the full 4 or 5 stars. The menu changes daily. So today the best choice was a burger. And yes the burger was great, but it was a "burger". The potato wedges it came with were served luke-warm/cold, and they're better when hot. They definitely piqued my curiosity to go back and try something else, that will be new in the menu. Even the lunch menu is different but no, you cannot see the lunch menu for dinner or vice versa.

2/19/24 Update 2 Bumping my review down to a 1. We went back to give them another chance, as the owner asked us to do in his response last year, this past weekend. My parents were in town and we decided to go to Butcher as there is ample room outside to fit a stroller (we have a 5 month old). Had the smash burger, tasteless. My wife had the shrimp risotto, the risotto was barely cooked however the shrimp was cooked perfectly, but HEAVY pepper. My parents got the steak Frits and it was also over peppered. So we said to ourselves this was the last time. Unfortunately they haven't improved at all since Dan left - outside of the drinks and atmosphere you're better off going elsewhere. I saw a post on their Instagram about Sunday being closed (again) due to only one Chef and simply commented "Saturday wasn't a great experience either unfortunately" - nothing mean, nothing nasty, nothing disrespectful (screen shot attached). Today I see they not only removed my comment from the post but also blocked me. I also noticed a comment removed from their Facebook page from someone else clarifying to people no one was sick, they just didn't have enough staff to open. This is beyond petty and unprofessional for a business owner to do, especially given a customer gave it another shot. We have gone to their restaurant since the very beginning, spent HUNDREDS of dollars in meals and attended a few Wine Dinners they held and bought some bottles of wine and bourbon from a bourbon tasting we attended there. Really nice Eric, best of luck.

We tried to go here on Super Bowl Sunday, but the place was closed and no sign or anything. Then, tonight (1/18/24), we try again. I even called to see if they were open. They had a basic outgoing message with their hours of operation and an option to leave a message. We get there at 8:05 pm (they close at 9:00 pm) and again they’re closed. At least this time there was a sign saying that they were closed. Why couldn’t their outgoing message say that? We wanted to try them out and see how good the prime rib was, but I guess THAT’S not going to happen. So, we went to Texas Roadhouse and enjoyed their yummy prime rib instead.

We’ve been a number of times and while the food is good it’s so loud inside if you want to talk you have to sit outside and then rudely if you are 2 people and semi-regulars they won’t sit you outside as there’s only 4-6 top tables even when there’s multiple tables open. With so many better choices we won’t be going back - it’s a shame!

Went for dinner across the street at Hurricane Alley but the wait was 1 1/2 hours, no way. Fortunately we found The Butcher and The Bar literally across the street. A retail butcher shop , bar, and small restaurant with both inside and patio dining. It was featured on Diners, Drive ins and Dives with Guy Fieri. Really a 4 1/2 * restaurant. They have a daily menu.Small but very nice menu and also a small wine list but large selection of craft beers and cocktails.Colleen B was our server and a real delight, efficient, attentive. and very professional.Started with a Spinach apple salad, spinach, apples, candied walnuts, house made bacon, Manchego cheese, dried cranberries, a champagne vinaigrette, Great. For mains, I opted for the Porchetta sandwich, lemon seasoned pork belly and loin, fennel, garlic, gremolata, fennel & radish salad, and lemon vinaigrette served on ciabatta bread, Superb. My wife tried the Butcher burger, house ground local beef smashed burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, pickles, cheddar cheese, and a special house sauce on a brioche bun. She said it was one of the best burgers she has had,Both came very good potato wedges. These two entrees are signature dishes and always on the daily menu. For something different and a real treat, you must try The Butcher and The Bar.

We ordered and waited for over 45 minutes before we saw any food. For a so call Butcher, the $60.00 steak we ordered medium was raw and full of fat. The service with Patrick was so so horrible. $250.00 later we felt truly robbed and the only thing missing was the waiter wearing a mask. Instead of going here take your money and make a donation and feel a sense of feeling good. Do not go to this place as it’s truly a rip off joint. We had to ask for bread and Patrick the waiter said he would find out if he could get some. Don’t walk from this place Run! You truly Suck

We tried twice to have dinner here, and twice the place was closed when their outgoing phone message said they were open. Closed two weekends in a row and not bothering to tell the public on the outgoing message tells me there has been something catastrophic or someone doesn't know how to run a business.
