Anna Maria Oyster Bar - Ellenton, FL After spending the day at the Florida State Fair in Tampa, my fiancé and I decided to stop by Anna Maria Oyster Bar in Ellenton—and we’re so glad we did! We ordered fried oysters, French fries, and cheese grits, and everything was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful inside. The cheese grits were just the way I like them—nice and thick—and the fries were a great complement to the meal. Even better, our food arrived quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Lilly, was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service. We also appreciated how the rest of the staff greeted us warmly as we walked through the restaurant. It’s little details like that that make a place feel extra welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus. Anna Maria Oyster Bar now has four locations, and after this experience, I’d definitely visit again. If you’re in the Ellenton area and craving fresh seafood with great service, this spot is a must-try!

If you want fresh oysters then this is the place. Went on the recommendation of a local while visiting the Ringling Museum, and it couldn't have been better. The staff were very kind, and as real as it gets! I'll be back the next time I come into town!

The escargot was amazing! The seafood Cobb salad was good, but our server told us it couldn't be split into 2 bowls, then didn't bring a bowl for us to split it ourselves. The server was totally incompetent.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The blackenned salmon was fresh and tasteful. My friend liked a lot the fried clams. We tried for the first time the banana tiramisu and it was delicious

The traditional oysters on the half shell that we ordered were not very big and warm, not chilled. They did not taste good. We also had 6 fried oysters and they were very chewy, like they had been reheated and cooked fresh. Our drinks did not taste of much alcohol and were not what you would expect a real bartender to prepare.

Absolutely wonderful place and the waiter was on top things constantly with everything. All the l staff was friendly and food was phenomenal!! Crab legs were the best by far! Would go back and eat there every day if I could! Too bad I was just here for a few days.

As we were getting seated they wanted to get the height of our children, which was odd to us, because they never told us, and we hadn't a clue. Later after going to the bathroom I saw the promotion that children eat according to their height One inch PER PENNY! So all 3 are for under $1.50!!! I asked the waitress, "How do they stay in business?" She replied the Owners are very Family Oriented, and understand how much going to restaurants cost as a Family, which my pockets loved! And the food was on point! Drinks were on point as well. Definitely coming back! We would pass this restaurant going to the beach all the time when we were in the area. Definitely our new stop when we come back!
