Cafe Amalfi Restaurant

Repeat customer because the food is next level, the owner John makes everything with love and genuine care using Italian flour and olive oil, which makes the food amazing... He's also very down to earth and always has a friendly conversation with me and my family, which adds to the unique special place he has, a true gem of a person. The pasta is homemade by him fresh and the pizza is the best in Sarasota for sure. High recommend!!

Great place great food and great service from Johm

We went for dinner at this owner run cafe. My date had the spaghetti and meat balls and i had the lasagna. Both were good portions and came with a home made salad, chef made dressing, Italian yeast knots with garlic and EVOO and wonderful Chef made table bread. They have a great selection of wine, both white and red.
PS... We love the tomato sauce becasue it has a rich tomato taste (not sweet!).

So I went off of most reviews and thought, I should give these guys a chance. Absolutely not worth the money. its edible, definitely not a Sicilian pie, what i would consider a half order of calamari, veal parm cutlet was good but awfully small. I dont know if you are trying to save money or your cook just doesn't know what he is doing. For the folks that dont like a sweet sauce , this place is not for you

Best fettuccine alfredo I’ve had hands down! The house dressing that comes with the salad is incredible also! The owner who took my order was extremely polite and made sure we had every thing we needed. Will definitely be back!

we ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. we’ve had pizza all over the world and this is definitely one of the best. we walked in just out of convenience and the owner was super welcoming and made our food very quickly. coffee was great too, will have to return when in the area again
