When I think Mexican food this place is what I imagine! The food was perfectly authentic and flavorful the hospitality was like nowhere else I've been! Down to the Mayan artwork on the walls I loved this place.

Gave this place another chance and it was new servers and no issues. I am now a regular and recommend this restaurant to all my friends/family.
My old review: Rude waitress. No concern whatsoever for food allergies. If you are gluten intolerant beware. Waitress literally argued with me but then later blamed it on the kitchen staff. Then she brings me our check and tells me she discounted my food (which I was too leery to eat) and my receipt showed a generous 76 cent credit. This place used to be a family favorite.

Nice place had high expectations based on reviews but service was sub par and food was mediocre at best. More than twice they messed up our order and kept giving us the wrong meat despite clearly ordering chicken and being given beef to someone who doesn’t eat red meat. Unacceptable they need to do better and be more attentive.

Be careful how they charge. First check charge you around 15 percent for gratitude and after that even you don’t want pay another gratitude they charge your card another 15 percent. It is illegal. I was there last time .Greedy owner. Normally gratitude is between 10-25 percent and all should going to the server not the owner.

Restaurant is a bit cramped and loud, but the food is worth it. I only wish they gave me a couple more tortillas! Food is excellent and the prices were reasonable! The molcajete for two is a cheaper dinner date meal than some regular chain restaurants!
Thank you!

So the burrito was a mash of rice beans and hamburg meat. The rice and beans should be seprate for flavor. Why do Florida Mexican restaurants not use shredded beef in thier dishes? Hamburg meat has no taste. Chips and salsa were very bland.

If you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Lakewood Ranch, you need look no farther than Casa Maya on Main Street. The menu has everything you like from Queso Fundido (con chorizo) to very good Mole Poblano. The house Margaritas are tasty and reasonably priced. The service is good and the timing is right on the food delivery. And the food was hot when delivered. And the food is GOOD! Don't pass up a chance to visit Casa Maya for your Mexican food cravings. We'll be back.

Great spot for delicious food! Went with some friends and will definitely be back. Get there early so you can get a parking spot, and explore the LWR area after your meal.

Specifically asked to have our meal prepared a certain way, but it was brought out and served burnt anyway. Waitress was nice but never offered to refill our drinks. There are much better Mexican restaurants around, we were very disappointed.

If you’re craving authentic Mexican cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Their fajitas are simply unbeatable, sizzling with the perfect blend of spices and tender meats. Pair them with their signature margaritas, which are the best I’ve ever had, and you’re in for a treat. Great atmosphere and friendly service make it even better. Highly recommended!
