Lived up to every expectation we had. The place is beautiful, staff wonderful and food amazing. Sitting at the bar was the way to go. It let us see into the kitchen, ask wine and food questions and engage with the staff. The level of service was spectacular. It’s also a wine lovers dream. And the quality of food is second to none. Their charcuterie plates are a must and the burger was one of the best we’ve ever had. Both featured foie gras and created one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Chateau 13 is simply an exceptional dining experience!

At first sight, it’s not much to see but once you get inside the experience begins. Service from top to bottom is elite — the manager introduced herself by name before we sat down and we had a seamless transition from checking in to getting our table. Make reservations ahead of time. The restaurant is divided into two main parts: bar/lounge and restaurant with a wall dividing the two. The place is overall “small” but it creates an intimate and well balanced atmosphere that my fiancée and I got lost in for the whole night.

Our server Doug was also particularly memorable. From the very beginning he made us feel welcomed and valued, he was knowledgeable about the history of the place and their previous (and obviously current) menus. My fiancée and I noticed a few dishes that jumped off the pages at us and we left the rest to Doug who complimented our dishes with not only fantastic sides and desserts but with dinner/dessert wines as well! He crushed it!!

We had unbelievable dishes and struck gold with our server too! Can’t wait to go back for our anniversary!

The restaurant is small with some limited parking but excellent with properly dressed dining tables with table cloths. Though the waiter raved about the unique way their octopus was prepared and brazed I was in the mood for meat and ordered their Filet with asparagus. I have a big apatite and it looked small when served but it was a very thick cut and OMG it was cooked to perfection and exquisite. They don't have a hard liquor bar but make up for it with their wines and wine cocktails. My date had the crab cake stating the crab chunks were perfectly proportioned and delicious. Our waiter was very high class as was the whole staff.
If you've never been you must visit once and likely to return again when you want a small private date opportunity. 5 stars!

Dont get confused about the 4 stars, the food is excellent, and the service is great. My complaint is mainly the size, location and atmosphere. The place is so small that you feel really packed in. I felt like I was constantly forced into making eye contact with other guests, and you're right in the middle of everyone's conversations. That really makes for a less romantic experience. The finishes and ambiance makes the place feel very plastic. The location of the actual building isnt great either, its kind of on the edge of downtown so the only thing to distract you from the sub par interior is a homeless guy sleeping across the street.

I got the tasting menu, I was excited to try Foie Gras and Steak Tartar for the first time. It was good for sure but I've never had it anywhere else so I cant say how good it actually was. Had they not had those on the menu, I probably would have dropped it down to 3 star.

I get what they are trying to do here, but this place doesn't add up to a 5 star experience. They either need more space, or a locations with a little better view or outside ambiance.

If you get a chance to visit Chateau you should do so immediately. If you have the chance for the owner Jenn to help you then consider yourself lucky. She’s one of the kindest people I’ve met!

The food and service here are excellent. The location and exterior is a bit unassuming, but inside the atmosphere is open and well decorated. My server (Mike, bartender) was friendly and helpful in selecting food items and wines. The food was cooked perfectly, and I really enjoyed both the octopus and burger. The pre fixe menu option was a nice way to try several items. This is definitely a higher-end restaurant, so expect to pay $75+ per person before tip, if not more, based on what you order. I would return for sure.

We spent our anniversary at Chateau 13 and it was a lovely fine dining experience. The atmosphere is really beautiful. Our service was exceptional by Doug. The entire staff work so well together making everything just perfect. We decided to do lighter bites rather than dinner. We enjoyed the Charcuterie board with added Foie Gras that was delicious, Cesar salad and Potage aux Légumes (a delightful vegetable bisque). We ended with their Creme Brûlée, it is orange flavored with fresh fruit. To celebrate our anniversary they sent two glasses of champagne. We will definitely be back!
