Excellent service, good food and great view from the deck.My elderly mother passed out on the way out of the restaurant. The manager and her wait staff were very helpful during this emergency. After the manager called 911 for us, she helped with the 9 month old baby in our party while I helped my mother. She stuck with us until the ambulance arrived. The staff were also clam and helpful with comfort measures like ice and cold cloths. Me and my family were grateful for their assistance in our time of need.Wheelchair accessibility: Two long ramps. Should have brought the wheelchair instead of the walker

Food was cold when it came out, my order was wrong, the staff didn't even acknowledge me and my family existed until I was frustrated enough to ask if I could sit down. If you're looking for anything other than frustration don't come

The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. When we complained of a bad odor from our room, they quickly checked it out and found us another room on the other end of the same floor. The breakfast was excellent. And, the service was all-around excellent. Wish they had a Florida resident rate.

I almost want to keep this place a secret because I love it so much. The staff is over the top. A huge shout out to Krystal at the bar and pool. This is our second trip and she is always so sweet and attentive. Everyone here, housekeeping, front desk, any employee, that you see anywhere, is kind and asking if there is anything they can do for you. If you are vacationing at Anna Marie Island, or anywhere in Bradenton, do yourself a favor…. Skip the beach front….drive down if you want. Swim at the pool. Eat at the restaurant. Enjoy the company. This is a great place..

Truly pet friendly. Our 4-legged baby loved the attention & treats she received from the staff. Rooms are nice, clean & comfortable (love the rain shower head). Ceiling fans on the balconies for these brutally hot Summer days would be great so we could sit outside longer to enjoy the beautiful views. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back during cooler weather.

Everything inside & outside the hotel was 5 star. We overlooked the marina. When a room is expensive I expect it to be high quality & it was. We didn't want to leave. A beautiful beach is within 5 minutes drive. Enjoy Anna Maria

Floridays is one of the best tiki bars, not only because of the people, but for its ambience, climate and Caribbean mood. Everyone at Compass Hotel, Margaritaville are focused on making you feel relaxed and welcomed, especially in the morning when you’re still fighting to wake up in breakfast. I’m impressed by the service details in the food and the table. They make you feel at home and ready for the day.

Excellent hotel at an excellent location. From check-in to check-out, everything about the hotel was great: employees, decor, room, pool and especially the breakfast that was included; scrambled eggs, meats, frittatas, pancakes, french toast, cereals, juices, etc., etc. The breakfast staff was very friendly and accommodating. Certainly felt like you got your value here. No complaints during our stay and expect to visit again.

The staff was very personable and welcoming. The hotel is super quaint and relaxing with a nice caribbean vibe. Shout out to Matt, the bartender. They offer a hot breakfast each morning which was a very nice touch. We look forward to returning for another visit.

Super cute, clean with a fantastic restaurant! I really loved the resturant here. Because this hotel is kind of out in the middle of know where I am glad the restaurant was affordable as well as FANTASTIC! The pool is heated, the gift shop was amazing and the customer service was excellent! I would absolutely stay here again or refer this darling hotel to my family and friends!

We stayed at this hotel in February for our son's wedding on Anna Maria Island. I can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel! The room, the lobby, the grounds were all clean and beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed sitting by the pool and enjoyed the whole laid back vibe of the hotel. Be sure to signup for the Margaritaville Perks program they have some great perks available! Love this hotel and going back for a wedding in May and hope we get to stay here again! Thank you Margaritaville Crew for a great stay!

Perfect place to go if you want do your own housekeeping on vacation! I visited this resort with friends and was not made aware beforehand that housekeeping only make the beds and leave towels (if you’re lucky)! Got up to the room and immediately noticed it wasn’t cleaned well. Hair on the floor and shower, no bedding except for a duvet without a cover, and sticky residue on the floor. We didn’t make an issue of it because we figured housekeeping would deal with it the next day. Because we were at the beach that day there was quite a bit of sand on the floor which we assumed housekeeping would also clean up because…. That’s what housekeeping does? Surprise! They don’t clean the floors. I called down to the desk and spoke with the GM and she was extremely dismissive and condescending. In the end I asked that someone bring me a broom so I could clean our room myself, which again, was met with a terrible attitude from the GM. Despite me saying I would like a broom to do it myself, she came up with housekeeping and they let themselves into the room even though one of my friends was in the shower at the time. They ended up cleaning the floor and actually putting bedding on - how generous! The whole experience was poor from the get go so I reached out to the manager after the trip by email to request a form of resolution as I didn’t feel the experience justified the cost of the stay. Most of my emails were ignored and there were long stretches of days inbetween. Nichole Pelkey (apparently an HR manager?) responded and essentially regurgitated their version of the story back to me (which had inaccuracies) and offered no resolution but a snarky “Good luck with your future travel” response - I’m sure her lack of people skills bodes well in the HR world! Don’t bother with this hotel. We spend a lot of time in the area and there are better options at comparable prices. Ones where you don’t have to ask for your room to be tidied or be met with poor attitudes when voicing those concerns. They clearly have no interest in doing better and use Covid as an excuse to cut back their quality of service.

Just left this wonderful hotel yesterday after a 5 night stay for our Spring Break. My husband, who frankly hates hotels, really enjoyed the accommodations. The hotel was very clean. Beds very comfortable. The main lobby has numerous seating areas to gather with friends or just relax. Outside the back of the hotel is a marina, which was always active with boats coming and going, but surprisingly quiet. I loved having my morning coffee out on my balcony, watching the boats, looking out over the AMI Sound, listening to the many birds and watching fish jump. Another guest said they saw a manatee and dolphins one day! The pool is lovely and I believe salt water, which was a treat for my daughter that is always sensitive to chlorine. There was ample seating and plenty of umbrellas for shade. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. For sure not what we are used to, at cheap hotels for hockey tournaments. The scrambled eggs and fritattas were always hot! The staff at the front desk was cheerful and patient, especially with dealing with my teens who constantly needed room keys. I loved how quiet the rooms were. We never heard doors slamming or feet running overhead. Overall we would definitely come back! The one complaint or suggestion that I had and already shared with the front desk, was to add wall hooks or more towel bars to the bathroom. The bathrooms are huge and have plenty of wall space, but only one towel bar for bath towels and one for hand towels. Next time I will order and bring some of those suction cup removable hooks from Amazon. We lost one beach towel that we assume blew off of the balcony while hanging to dry. Bring bug spray. The no-see-ums are terrible in the shade. While I got bit quite a bit, they didn't cause a reaction. My teens on the other hand look eaten alive and itched terribly. I'm sure it's due to the calmer, stagnant water in the adjacent marina. If you plan to go to Anna Maria Island daily, consider renting a car. We didn't because we were warned about difficult parking. While true, we wasted so much time waiting for Ubers and the Monkey Bus. Sometimes the monkey bus would be quick and super fun at night with the unexpected disco lights and 80s jams, but another time we were told 25 min and after 2 hours, we gave up. It never came at all. I am sure that we spent a good 10 hours sitting and waiting for Ubers or the Monkey Bus. Once on the island, the free trolley was awesome and a nice cool break from the sun and heat. Thanks Compass for a fabulous spring break and putting up with the Nelson crew from Minnsota! Also a huge thanks to the reservations desk who was so accommodating with our ever changing plans as flights kept getting canceled. Hope to see you all in 2024!
