My husband and I used to really like to get "Togo" orders from this place, but they don't answer the phone anymore. We've tried several times but it just rings and rings. We thought maybe they closed down but my husband drove by yesterday on his way to pick up an order from another establishment that actually DOES take their customer's calls, and they were definitely still in business. He said they weren't even busy and we had just tried to call! Really unprofessional and weird. Food is pretty good though so it's a bummer.

Everything is always delicious here! It’s nice to have a diner close by. Good comfort food, friendly staff.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Bradenton. As a local, there are a lot of breakfast spots to choose from but time and time again I keep going back to Eastside Diner. The prices are good and the food is great. Pancakes and french toast are very good, but my favorite is the biscuits and gravy. Nice friendly staff who treats you like family. If breakfast isn't your thing, stop by for lunch or dinner. Great Coney dogs! Overall great experience for a solid meal anytime.

Great club sandwich, they really pile on the meat, fries were fresh and crisp. Heard several people comment on their way out that their food was excellent. I'll definitely visit more often.

This place is AWESOME and here a few observations: 1. Great Food 2. Excellent Customer Service 3. A Staff that builds a Rapport With Customers I've tried just about everything on the menu including several of the specials, and not once did I send something back. Whether it's the Spicy Cajun Chicken & Waffles, the Spartan Omelette with gyro meat and feta, or a couple of Detroit Coney dogs smothered in chili--it's ALL GOOD. Oh, they serve beer, wine, and mimosas too. The staff completely understands that East Side Diner is a neighborhood establishment, and they treat their customers as such. That's what stands out to me the most: sincere customer service with smile from a business that knows my name. It's a routine visit for me and I give East Side Diner my highest recommendation. Oh, when the in-laws come into town--apologies in advance because that huge party of ten is probably us!

Sign out front said best new restaurant runner up 2019. The food was gross!! I got the meatloaf. So much gravy - I guess to cover up how bad the food tasted.

Our meal start off with a good start. Their chicken tenders and fries are really good. The chicken soup seemed like it was warmed out straight of a Campbell's can, it wasn't good. My boyfriend order an cheese burger and they didn't put the cheese on it. I ordered the Greek salad with shrimp. The salad ended up having hair in it, a lot of the lettuce was wilted and I had to pick it off. When I told the server about the hair she took the salad away and came to tell me she removed the charge for the shrimp. We thought that was a poor way to handle customer service, I couldn't actually eat the salad bc I was so grossed out by the hair wrapped around the shrimp. We would not go back here. Unfortunate.

We've been coming to Eastside Diner for about eight months since moving to the area because of its convenience to our home, which has been our motivating factor for choosing to eat there. Sadly, the service in the past four months or so has deteriorated to the point that we'd rather drive farther from home to grab a quick meal. We've eaten there at least 50 times this year, and every time we go it's as though they've never seen us before. We are rarely greeted with a "Hello" and never once have they said "Hey, good to see you again". They're like robots that only know how to seat people and take orders. The servers have absolutely no personality or even show a desire to make your experience pleasant. They don't introduce themselves or greet you when they approach the table, and just ask you what you want to drink and walk away. We've had repeatedly bad service from Kiannah, who is as cold as ice. We've never received a smile or greeting or "thank you" in at least a dozen visits where she was our server. On our last visit we felt as if we were imposing on her time by coming in to eat and that she'd rather be doing anything else but serving customers. I honestly can't even comprehend how they earn enough tips to survive with that attitude. I mean, Cracker Barrel has friendlier wait staff for crying out loud. This is the farthest thing from what I would consider a traditional diner, since I thought neighborhood diners were supposed to be friendly and make you feel welcome (and want to return).
