The food is substantial, traditional and delectable. True to a Peruvian homemade table. I try to make it here at least once a month, it is such a staple too! Salud ?

Beware. This place charges a18% Gratuity to EVERYONE regardless if it 1 person or a party of 4. THEY TAKE THE TIP YOU you leave for the server. Before we ordered I asked because I saw a review stating this. I spoke to the Lady who wasn’t a server and she confirmed they do this.

It's just an old tiny restaurant. Food was ok. Now the thing is that there is an charge on your bill for service. We asked about thinking it would be a tip for the server but it's not. Its just an extra charge for the owner. We asked the server and she told us it was for the owner. Plus if she gets tipped by credit or debit card the owner stays with that money also. Not fair to the customer or the server.....

We went back after years of eating here. Won’t be back again. Atmosphere is really bad for a restaurant. Prices shown on website are not what we got charged today. Food was not good either. It is not what used to be 15 yrs ago when Jorge was there!

Badly, I don't recommend it. The first time I came and it wasn't what I expected, the lomo saltado was pure onion and the ceviche as an appetizer. Now I'm coming back after a while to see if they've changed anything and there's no one to attend. It's after 5 pm and there's only one person maybe there will be at 5:30 pm or 6 p.m. bad bad ?

Food is so good! I live o e hour away off the restaurant , but I drive over there anyway ! They take care of you very well !

Vegetarian options: You can ask for vegetarian meal! They make one dish with beans, rice, yuca, corn, salad , even quinua risotto and potatoe with huscaina sauce is very good !!

We always enjoy El Warike…
Jalea mixta and corvina with grilled shrimp are my favorites. Aji de gallina is my husband’s go-to. The paella, tacu tacu, lomo saltado and ceviche are also tasty. It’s a small place and not much atmosphere, but they serve delicious food for a reasonable price.

Service was lacking. No tables cleaned off the whole time we were there. No followup service. 1 host/server was definitely unhappy to be there and they have a mandatory service fee of 18% regardless of party size. Probably due to people not tipping due to bad service
