Hong BBQ & Hot Pot Bradenton

My favorite place . Clean place,Great Service, Fresh meats, vegetables. Highly recommended. Love this place.

The experience was overwhelming to me. The menu was extremely busy, I didn’t know where to look.
Our server even agreed the menu can be “a bit much so I’ll explain everything to you”.

Our server didn’t explain anything. One person didn’t order the bbq but was charged anyway ($32!).

I didn’t realize the hot pot was an additional charge on top of the bbq, again something not clearly explained by our server. 2 of us did bbq & hot pot, 1 did only hot pot - we said this UP FRONT.

At one point the server asked if the 3rd person was eating hot pot, I said yes but I’m cooking for her bc she cant do it due to disabilities (I thought maybe the server forgot what we ordered in the first place). The server explained that management required a $6 charge for her anyway so i said, fine add it (I wasn’t going to argue over $6, the 3rd person was eating after all). At no point did the server mention we were already being charged for a 3rd bbq too.

As we ordered food I asked what the pricing was, obviously I’m lost at this point bc I’ve only been to these places that charge a-la-carte… I feel like at that point the server could have said “it’s all you can eat @ $___”.

You can call me dumb but we get the bill and I’m shocked at the charges. We pay bc I’m over it. I get home and go to the website, found in the smallest font about fees and ordering expectations. We went on a whim, I shouldn’t have to research to eat dinner, that’s why employees are supposed to be fully trained on how to inform their patrons.

Food was okay, I gave it 5 stars bc it wasn’t bad at all - still not the best I’ve had. Service was mediocre at best. Just a frustrating experience bc when a server says “I’ll explain everything”, I’m trusting that they know what the heck they’re saying.

Our waitress Michelle was being so rude and didn't even give us refills. She was giving us an attitude and gave us looks. I did not like the service at all.

We went in on a rainy day and had hot pots. They were nothing special. Service is like being at Denny's, but you're paying much higher prices. The place is not what other hot pot places are. The buffet had nothing compared to other places. Someone told me the BBQ is where it's at. We wanted a Korean experience. This wasn't it.

Food was delicious. Plentiful. Maybe too plentiful, felt bad leaving some uncooked. A/C was not sufficient. It was super hot inside, especially once the grills were going. We were all sweating and fanning ourselves by middle of the meal. But it was August in Florida, so I can't really fault them.

If you were in the area and haven’t checked out this place, you’re missing out it is awesome a great experience for adults kids and all sorts of groups

Food is super tasty and fresh!! Will be back and recommending to all family and friends.

The interior and exterior decor and ambiance is superb and complements the excellent service and quality of food. Come hungry!

Monica was great and attentive food was good and lot of selection

me and my friends have been to hong bbq + hot pot a few times now and its always a highlight of our meetups! there's a very wide selection of foods to choose from, both for hotpot and the bbq, and staff is always very attentive. definitely well worth the price imo if you're going to be chatting for a while, and they always take the time to help you understand how the restaurant works if you havent ever been before. the boba is also really good!
