This place was incredible! Food was so tasty. Generous portions. Staff was friendly. First time having a gyro burrito. It was nice. Hummus was really good! I return.

Update as of March 2025, from 5 stars to 1 star: Hummus Bay has recently expanded to include a Mexican menu under the name Guac Shop, and now both restaurants are operating in the same space. I can't speak for the quality of the Guac Shop menu, but the quality and taste of the Hummus Bay menu has declined significantly. This is really sad - Hummus Bay was once one of the best fast-casual restaurants in the area, and the menu used to be extremely delicious, fresh, and well priced. Now, the Hummus Bay service counter is in the back, the chicken was super dry and reheated (I watched the waitress reheat it on the grill), the hummus texture was simultaneously lumpy, watery, and tasteless, the cucumber tomato salad tasted like it was on the verge of spoiling, the pickles and turnips were left in giant pieces and were not cut in a dice like they used to be, and the pita also seemed dry and stale. This is a total 180 from the quality and standards I was accustomed to at Hummus Bay. Sadly, I will no longer be a regular customer. I would suggest the owners retire the Hummus Bay menu and go all in on Guac Shop if the standards cannot be maintained.
Edit: food is still great but I show up at 8:30 pm on Thursday and the store is closed. Very very frustrating when your signs all say close at 9 pm on weekdays.
Hummus Bay is our new favorite restaurant and an amazing addition to the Bradenton food scene. Incredibly flavorful and delicious food, generous portion sizes, high quality and nutritious ingredients. A little on the expensive side but it's totally worth it. Food is expensive everywhere these days. I usually get 2 meals out of a bowl. We have tried the chicken and beef Shawarma and chicken kabob so far, all are great! It's like a middle eastern version of Poppos or Chipotle. The falafel are really good too and I love the sauces and toppings, especially the garlic sauce, shatta, and pickles. I hope they do really well and open more locations because we are going to be eating here all the time! We did notice some inconsistencies in portion size depending on who's working, as other reviews have mentioned, but overall our experience with online ordering has been great. We love Hummus Bay!

been to hummus bay a lot but they have changed so much stuff and it’s not good anymore. they changed the original chicken to bland chicken and the falafel looks like hockey pucks now.

We ordered Uber eats from this place and our food was delivered with several missing items. Called them hoping for some sort of refund but they told me no and there was nothing they could do about refunding anything. Food was also subpar, would recommend staying far away from this place!

Ate there for the first time, portions are terrible. And the guy preparing my food, used the same gloves after using the register, his phone, touching everything to serve the salad 🤢. Not too hygienic…. So definitely, not going back again.

I don’t know what is going on at hummus Bay but I am heartbroken. This used to be my favorite restaurant. I ate there four times a week and the last couple of times that I have gotten food from there it has been awful. The hummus that I used to be able to eat by the tub taste like it came from a can it does not look taste or feel edible. The turnips that I used to get were a bright vibrant purple today there are white huge chunks that have zero flavor. The delicious pickles that used to come slices were tossed into my bowl as chunks and had no flavor. No longer offering lentil rice, I had to get basmati which was dry and hard. I truly have never eaten a worse meal. So sad pictures of today’s bowl vs what they used to look like.

After moving to the area from the northeast, we were looking for flavors similar to the halal carts in NY. This is very close and also offers way more options for building bowls. Everything we have tried so far has been delicious, fresh tasting and a great value. Their to go packaging is good. They also are on the Too Good to Go app which cuts down on food waste and allows people to eat in a budget. The owners are from the area and clearly care about being part of the community.

The portion control is really inadequate. I was a first timer tonight, and ordered three to go meals. I copied the guy in front of me, who had a lot of food in his bowl. I got a shaken spoon happy meal size, for about 20 bucks. My daughter and wife's bowls were much more than mine. I don't think I'll be back. It is good, but way too expensive to eat and than have to make a sandwich after.
