Joey D's Chicago Style Eatery

Haven't gone to joey ds for a while decided to try It out. Got a large pizza. It was decent the food wasn't the problem. The problem is the server was irresponsible didn't check the order and charged us for a different persons order with the same name.. so they Called us to tell us the transaction was messed up and was canceled. And they needed us to Pay. I'm sorry what.. that was on yall. You decided to not only cancel the payment but DEMAND PAYMENT WITHOUT APOLOGIZING. The total for ours was 30 and the total we got charge for was 28.. could someone explain to me why they didn't just deal with it.. the factor of when we spoke to the supervisor they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Or give anything to give encouragement for me to ever come back. So Before you get charged make sure u check everything bc obviously it's a bunch of millennials running the place

A great place for Chicago food and football. All the food was seasoned great, cooked fantastic, and tasted like I was up north in the city.

Service was great, friendly staff, and very attentive.

Definitely worth the ride and will be back to watch Da Bears!

My husband and I ate there this evening in Bradenton. Our first time to Florida and he googled pizza. We decided to try this and it was wonderful. Our waiter, Rodger, was awesome. We had Philly rolls which he recommended and the deep dish pizza and both were awesome. He provided great service. He was very friendly, professional and could tell he cares about his customers. Excellent. I’d def recommend and if we make it back there before heading home, we will go during the day and ask again for him to wait on us!

As someone who grew up in Chicago and have been there more times than I can count; I am BEYOND impressed. We tried the deep dish and Italian beef and they were spot on. Roger’s excellent service made the experience even better. If you’re from Chicago and missing home or just want some Chicago style things, absolutely try it out!

I recently made a order through the app. I made order at 8:25 pm, & the pickup time they quoted was for 8:50, so I changed it to 9 pm so I had time. I didn't get my food until about 9:10 pm ( they weren't busy either). My main issue is that I ordered a cannoli & after I received my food, Antonio went to a female server on the side of the to go counter & said " I really don't want to make a cannoli, will you make it?" Antonio was the take out person. I don't care who made it but he was very loud when he said that, plus, I had to wait another 5 minutes or so for them to make it when he could have been making it while the female was bagging up my hot food. The food was delicious & I've never had an issue here so please speak to your employees so they don't say things where the customers can hear them, especially when it's regarding their order. Was there Saturday for dinner. Ordered Stromboli with pepperoni. Did not look like any Stromboli I have ordered before. It was flat, greasy, and barely any pepperoni. Was very disappointed. Sent it back for a cheese steak sandwich. I asked waiter if the staff had changed. All new faces. She said the girls make it different than the boys. How bout consistency in meals. At least I enjoyed the steak sandwich.

Great little restaurant. Fun atmosphere and worthwhile food. It isnt cheap but it isnt pricey either. Decent value for the money.
