I want to start off by saying I do not leave restaurant reviews - I understand that places have off days. However, this entire meal "left a bad taste in my mouth"
After reading an article about how this restaurant was struggling after a shorter than usual "season" we wanted to give this local spot a try. Unfortunately, at nearly $20 for my meal alone (skillet, grits & tip) and the mess that we actually received, I hate to say that the lack of snowbirds is in no way responsible for this restaurants failing.

I give Judy's a 5 star overall because my family and I love this place for breakfast when we're on vacation. However, when we were there this year, they were very understaffed. No servers at all so that left who I believe to be Judy doing all the serving. I don't believe this is their fault at all. I believe it is the economy and no one wanting to work these days. She assured us she was getting help soon. Go visit!

This is a diner style restaurant with really good food. We were seated right away and food was delicious! I got the French toast and my wife got an omelette. We were happy with both. My wife came here over 10 years ago with her mom and recalls the food was great back then too!

The trouble started when my coworker got back to the office and I realized they did not give us the grits we ordered. Ok - I can live with that...stuff happens. However, when I opened my container and saw that my Corned Beef Skillet was stuffed with tomatoes (which is not indicated anywhere on the menu) I knew we were off to a bad start. The corned beef skillet was nothing more than some cubed up hunks of corned beef tossed on top of some undercooked hashbrowns. As you can see in the photo a majority of the corned beef was inedible. I've never come across gristle on corned beef so tough that I was afraid I would break a tooth. I spent a good 10 minutes picking out the tomatoes and rock hard corned beef. The pièce de résistance of this entire fiasco was the fact that my over-medium eggs were so overcooked the yolks had the consistency of hardboiled eggs.
