I got the curry goat with peas and rice. The food was cold, the rice tasted like it was cooked days before and the curry did not sit well in my stomach. The presentation of the food turned me off

Future customers , beware when ordering online. Placed an order about an hour before this place closed for delivery. They ended up just closing the store and never delivered my food, nor contacted me in any way.

I stopped by here based on the Yelp reviews. I got a to-go lunch on a Saturday, where the daily lunch specials are not in effect (must be strictly Monday-Friday thing). The entrees available are the same, they are just at 'dinner' prices. I ordered the curry chicken, rice and beans and the yams. OMG, the yams! When I opened my to-go box, the fragrance of the yams was heavenly. I think it is cinnamon but it was also some other spices I could not quite identify. The chicken was fall off the bone tender from hours of stewing an it was served on top of my side of rice and beans. The portion was extremely generous. I love ethnic foods but am less familiar with Caribbean foods. It was all very delicious and the curry chicken has lot of spices but it is not 'hot', just very flavorful. This place is nestled in a strip mall between 9th Avenue West and not too far from 301 or Lecom Field. It is worth the trip and worth checking out. It's a small mom 'n pop operation that deserves some business. My heaping take out was a lot of food for $10, and a lunch here is till a lot cheaper than a lunch at Panera. Support the little guy! Lol-- well, support the little guy and treat yourself to an excellent meal in return.

This is some of the best j*** chicken, Ox tail and curry shrimp (or chicken) I've EVER tasted from some of the sweetest people I've ever met! My review is two fold: 1. I visited this place while in town, doing videographer work on a Saturday night! When we walked in, we were greeted by Pastor Kieth and his really friendly and prompt family. We ordered and within 15 minutes, I was eating some of the best curry shrimp, black beans and rice and Mac & Cheese I have ever had! Unfortunately, on the way out, I forgot my purse on the back of my chair. 2. Fast forward 2 days and Tuesday morning, I called and spoke with Sharon and they had my purse, safe and sound (no phone in it so no way on contacting me) so I traveled back from Tampa and was met with a huge hug from Sharon and the rest of the beautiful staff at K & L Caribbean! These lovely people kept my belongings safe and sound, I was so grateful; of course I ordered lunch again and thanked them a million times for treating me like family! These wonderful people are so sweet, they're from St. Thomas and they make the most authentic Caribbean food around! Big portions, cooked with love and my new friends for life. Come here!!!
We always look for small local flavor and stopped in to try what they had to offer, very pleased. Both flavor and portions were fantastic. We were greeted by a very friendly gentlemen who made our visit enjoyable. Small and easy menu as well as homemade beverages (must try the sorell). Will definitely be back!

We came to the right place!!l My husband and I were excited to experience Caribbean food here in the states, K&L Caribbean did not disappoint. The price is Right, The taste is Great, The flavor was Perfect! We left completely full and satisfied. Great customer service and an inviting atmosphere. They have dine in or take out, get there quickly if you want the best authentic Caribbean food in town! We're glad we did, we will be back again and again and again...

So I went to this place yesterday thinking it was a Jamaican place but come to find out Caribbean and Jamaican are not the same thing. I tried it anyways and got I believe curry goat and oxtail. I was going to get two separate orders of each that's a girl offered a special where it was cheaper to get one entree with both Meats. I thanked her thinking it was a good route to go. Honestly the food was amazing! It was very good but this is the only reason why I can five stars. I wanted to give it 4 stars because the portion size for what I paid I felt was very small. I asked her if what I was getting would be enough for two people but honestly it was only enough for my husband and barely. I've been to other different types of restaurants where you get kind of the same thing and I paid way less and they gave me way more where I could even eat the next day. Nonetheless that is not what I was looking for. I was looking to get two entrees but she offered one entree that would be just as good but cheaper. I was disappointed because my husband ate the food all by himself. I paid $25 for one entree for one person. I know next time to get two entrees because I'll be paying the same thing but I'll get probably enough meat for both of us. Regardless of the fact, the food was amazing!
