Lived here for almost 15 years and my first visit was on Saturday night. We sat out in the patio and it was beautiful weather and scenery.The staff was great and attentive. We ordered the hush puppies and gator bites for appetizers and the Cajun chicken pasta for entree. Definitely would recommend and will be back!They also have a great gluten free menu for someone who was with us. She was very impressed by the variety and said her food was amazing!Dietary restrictions: Amazing gluten free menu. Great variety to choose from and the staff was very accommodating!

We have been going here for years and have taken many friends for their first experience here. Today, we were disappointed. We were greeted by a grouchy server, which didn't improve much until it was tip time, and she was definitely not attentive. In her defense, she said they were understaffed, but still no reason to take it out on your patrons. My husband asked for another drink, when asked, and she was never seen again, until it was bill time. Portions were definitely unequal between diners and sides and mains pathetically small. Baked beans were nearly inedible. It's such a shame, because it was always such a special treat for us to go here. We don't plan on returning.

If you are looking for an exotic food to try, you should check this place out. You can try snake, snake, squirrel, gator, raccoon, sparrow, tortoise, etc. (See the menu in picture).I tried the special that day, Gator Ribs and I wished I ordered some things else. The meat is fishy and like a tough fish texture. I take the left over and put lot of chili, still can’t eat it. The side dishes also not that good. But my friend ordered their burger and enjoyed it.They didn’t allowed us to sit outside at first since we didn’t make reservations but there were few tables open so when we asked the second time, they moved us. I’m glad we got to sit outside! The have lot of preserved animals inside, it’s a bit depressing to see all the snakes around.They have live music outside and we’re glad we could see the river as well. We went for lunch on Sunday and arrived at 12.15pm they weren’t that busy but after we got our food, looks like almost all tables are full.

This is a destination only for the atmosphere. Food was very small portions compared to price. Inconsistent portion sizes when 2 people ordered same sides from similar entrees. Service was VERY subpar. Way too expensive for what we got. Ribs dry, burnt ends were so burnt and dry they were like rocks.
Restaurant needed reservations not posted on the website. Night time manager was a little abrasive. Food was good and service was excellent. Nice atmosphere

Linger Lodge is such a unique and eclectic old Florida experience. Settled in amongst the old oak trees down along the river, this restaurant is a hidden gem and one I always love to bring visitor to, to experience Florida outside of tourism and beaches.

Linger Lodge is always a fun spot to get away to enjoy food & drinks! Nestled off the beaten path, great local place to explore. Lots of native animals & reptiles to look at up close & personal, surrounding the dining area. Beautiful, large, covered porch area is our favorite area for our leisure times. Sautéed gator bites are a MUST!!!
