Best German food in town! Owner is the chef! Everything is ok bright there! The best!!!
Amazing German restaurant in the Bradenton area. Freshly made schnitzel was a treat, very hot (temp) and authentic. Son-in-law had the cheese spaetzle and it looked and smelled amazing. He said it was delicious. Owner came out and talked with us and the server was excellent!

I stopped in for takeout lunch, bratwurst and potato pancakes which was very good, so I decided to make a dinner reservation a few days later. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals which included pork schnitzel, spaetzle and a beautifully prepared braised lamb shank (order a day ahead). We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful hidden gem. Located in the back corner of a shopping plaza is the Lucky Frog. My wife and I enjoy German food and the Lucky Frog delivered.
My wife had the pork schnitzel and I had the sauerbraten. We enjoyed a large plate of spaetzle.
Simple but fun decor lined the walls.
Although this restaurant is on the other side of Bradenton, we'll definitely be back.

Most amazing German food that I’ve ever had. Servers were very friendly & knowledgeable about the dishes that the chef creates. Add in authentic German beer and this place is a must visit. Definitely worth the drive if you are anywhere nearby. I could eat here every meal as there are many options and everything tastes wonderful. Sehr gutt und wundebar!
First time visit. Was out running errands and stopped in for a bite to eat. Was authentic German food, very fresh and tasted wonderful. Karin was very personable and knowledgeable. Looking forward to eating there again.

Hunters Shot, excellent, gravy could’ve been a little thicker, flavor was wonderful:-)
Pork sampler was good. It could’ve had a bratwurst in there yeah, but maybe they’re not pork, Spaetzl was good, although I’m not fan, it was good.
Extra side of 1 potato pancake it was excellent.
Oktoberfest beer was Wunderbar, waitress hostess was wonderful, owner came out to greet us, all is good

Delicious food! Came here because the Schnitzelhaus on AMI closed. When one door closes, another one opens and Lucky Frog did not disappoint. The pork sampler was a delicious platter of food and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The potato pancakes were a delicious appetizer as well. Also some great beer! I got a few desserts as well and I think the crepes were my favorite. I can’t’t wait to come back the next time I’m in town!

Restaurantji Recommends
Loved my dinner experience at the Lucky Frog!! I had the Hunter Shot (Jaeger Schnitzel W. Mushroom Sauce, Spaetzle) and it came out hot and fresh. The service was excellent, our waitress was very kind, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations. We also got a few desserts (crepes, bread pudding, and apple strudel) which were to die for! All desserts are homemade with the exception of the ice cream. We can’t wait to come back!!

What a horrible experience! A waste of my hard earned money for certain!
* I was finishing up a diet Mountain Dew and the waitress jerked it out of my hand and said I couldn’t bring it inside later. I found out why they bring bottled water and tack a dollar on your bill and you’re not allowed to bring in your own beverage because of that… They also provide no applesauce with the two tiny and I do mean tiny potato pancakes, and charge you for applesauce which everybody eats it with at 2J‘s. I had 6 to 8 beautiful big delicious potato pancakes for $6.99! These potato pancakes were about four bites, one even smaller than the other and I ask for a sub substitute for raw salmon which I couldn’t eat. They said there was none. The Waitresspushed a $22 entrée. For four potato pancakes.. No birthday dessert on the house, which is standard procedure at any good restaurant & a rude owner. Only three couples the whole night correction two couples a single at the bar and me. RIP OFF & When I ask the owner about the water bottle charge, she jerked it off my table yet they have a dishwasher, husband and wife team chefs or should I say cooks and an aging waitress… They could do two of those jobs themselves if they’re that hard up. $20 down the drain I didn’t have to waste and rude behavior from the owner’s wife one of the supposed to call chefs she’s just the PR person trying to get you back I’ve been to Germany and all through Bavaria and these potato pancakes suck as did the ambience rude German people I felt really awful afterwards. I wonder what they Fried them in… A disgusting couple of hours so sad for everyone concerned

I come from a German family who owned restaurants and I myself am a chef.
I ordered the sauerbraten which was not up to par. I also lived in Germany and they would not serve food like that there!
