It's a small place, the food was great, very similar to what is served in Europe. Service is good but since it's a small place they only had one server/hostess/busser so be patient. The atmosphere is spartan, tables and chairs with minimal art on the walls. There isn't much wall for decoration.

The restaurant is under new management and is a very good place to eat. Marie is the new owner and is very pleasant and professional. My meal was the Hunters Shot( aka Jagar Schnitzel)My husband had the Lion Special (aka frankfurter and nuerberger). The German beer selection is outstanding. A great place for lunch and dinner. Great restaurant atmosphere.

We love German food and tried the lucky frog for the first time last week I usually don’t even look at the prices and we’ve dined at several german restaurants in the area and also up north But 10.99 for a pint was absolutely crazy at this establishment and location!Food was okay.
I understand it’s imported.But you’re not the only establishment that serves german beer and I’ve never seen $11 for a pint.Not even close!! But that’s alright,your business and your prices but I’ll drink german beer elsewhere from now on I guess.Other german restaurants charge way less than you

Feel lucky to have found this charming German restaurant while visiting in Bradenton Fl. Tucked away in a strip mall you might overlook it but don't as it was well worth seeking out! There were 5 of us adults and we all very much enjoyed our food, so like our mother's flavors would have been, true German !! The service was exceptional as well. We meet the new owner who is being tutored by a true German chef. Everyone in the place was very nice, we highly recommend!!

Amazing German restaurant in the Bradenton area. Freshly made schnitzel was a treat, very hot (temp) and authentic. Son-in-law had the cheese spaetzle and it looked and smelled amazing. He said it was delicious. Owner came out and talked with us and the server was excellent!
Always a very good experience. Real German food or heardy American.

I stopped in for takeout lunch, bratwurst and potato pancakes which was very good, so I decided to make a dinner reservation a few days later. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals which included pork schnitzel, spaetzle and a beautifully prepared braised lamb shank (order a day ahead). We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful hidden gem. Located in the back corner of a shopping plaza is the Lucky Frog. My wife and I enjoy German food and the Lucky Frog delivered.
My wife had the pork schnitzel and I had the sauerbraten. We enjoyed a large plate of spaetzle.
Simple but fun decor lined the walls.
Although this restaurant is on the other side of Bradenton, we'll definitely be back.

Most amazing German food that I’ve ever had. Servers were very friendly & knowledgeable about the dishes that the chef creates. Add in authentic German beer and this place is a must visit. Definitely worth the drive if you are anywhere nearby. I could eat here every meal as there are many options and everything tastes wonderful.
