I’m really surprised about the reviews for this place.
First off, walk in and the host can’t smile, speak, nothing.
Took 30 minutes to get drinks.
Took another hour and a half to get food.
I wouldn’t rave about any of the food. Not one appetizer or meal. And we ordered multiple of each.
I’d say the server seemed to at least try. But I’m fairly certain he had to have forgot our order, otherwise the wait just does not make sense.
As we leave the restaurant, I say thank you to the host and she straight up looks the other way. The lack of customer service is unbelievable. My 16 year old daughter hosts at another local restaurant and she said “doesn’t she know she’s the first face of this place”.
Needless to say, you couldn’t pay me to waste my time here again.

We celebrated my son‘s birthday at Mean Deans last evening and the main course was Osso Buco and it was to die for and our waitress Veronica was fabulous.

A marvelous oasis in dining. Alex had our table. Capable pleasant and attentive with ease. Owner stopped twice. Once delivering our entries, crab & shrimp ravioli, drunken Cuban rice beans, after spinach chips appetizer. Quality red blend wine at very fair/low $ Paydirt red blend CA. Food is top notch. Prices reasonable/low in a $ crazed world.
Go, enjoy, see site for early evenings music , trivia, karaoke etc, specials and low $ specials. Gotta get here.

Wonderful atmosphere, cuisine, and service! A hidden gem!
At first was reluctant to leave a review as we have been coming to Mean Deans for years. The food quality has gone downhill drastically. We dined there last night and I had the seared duck. Seared duck was over cooked, small, and had no flavor. Sides - mash potatoes & broccoli were horrible and cold. My wife had the meat loaf which was clearly micro waved one part hot and one part cold. She had the same sides and feels similar to myself. And to top it off the short rib is now off the menu. After dozens of visits we will not come back.
