Mizu Sushi & Hibachi Express

We love this place! We found it randomly & it has become one of our favorite restaurants around. The sushi is fresh & delicious, the service is outstanding (everyone is so friendly!), and they keep the place very clean! It gets busy so sometimes there’s a wait, but it is 100% worth it! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mizu Sushi!

My daughter has been telling me to try this place for a long time and I finally did. Wow. This place is fantastic! I got the chicken hibachi and it's going in to the takeout rotation! Highly recommend!

Absolutely great! The sushi and the hibachi entrees were terrific and the service was super. One of the best restaurants in Lakewood Ranch. Don’t miss it if you’re a fan of Japanese food!

Solid spot! Has all the essential components for an automatic 3 star ie clean and prompt service.

For the 4th star the food was indeed delicious and the staff did more than what I would expect at a chain sit down restaurant.

For semantics I’d place it at a 4.8/5 if you compared it to other smaller Asian restaurants with the same business target.

I would like to point out my wife and I ordered 2 hibachi entrees, fountain drinks, and split 1 sushi roll (+ tip / tax) which totaled to $60+, a little more than the $10-20 range listed on google. I never came close to finishing the food and ate the rest for lunch next day.

That being said, there appears to be specials where you could get a decent meal for $14-18 per person.

Attentive wait staff accommodating our large crowd without reservations. Large variety of sushi. I ended up having perfectly cooked temporary shrimp. Yum!!! Crispy outside still juicy inside.

First time dining here and very impressed. Extensive menu, friendly prices, and top quality food. Dinner with a bottled 🍺 beer was only $20 and there was enough leftover for a meal the next day.
The staff was amazing and very customer oriented.

Portions of sushi are very small. Paid full price for rolls but received 5 and 6 piece rolls where most other places are 8 pieces (I see pics from here not long ago showing 8 piece rolls). The pieces themselves very small too.

Spent $25 a person for Sunday lunch and left hungry. Kind of a rip off even in today's economy. Won't be back.

The sign on the door says until 3:30 for lunch, and we arrived at 3:05. They refused to give us a lunch order, and are very inflexible.
We had a couple of rolls, which were good but the service needs improvement.
