This 'tasty' mom and pop place has been apart of my life the entire Florida life. The best homemade Eggs Benedict in town-they run that special only every other weekend-of course why we were there this past weekend!! Just like most restaurants they are short staffed So be patient!! The food is worth the wait!

One place I will never go back to. Food was on the lower end of quality and not as the name suggests. Wife couldn't drink the coffee, it was too watered down. As I was waiting to pay, I was watching them prepare some food. Grabbing some cucumbers slices out of the container with his bare hands for a salad after using the register among other things.(GROSS) Dirty plates stacked on the counter.

I was hoping for comfort food and that's exactly what I was able to get at Tasty Home Cookin. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and it was superb! Portions were quite large for a really great price. Staff was friendly and very aware of customer needs.

Great service. Laura was our server and she was very attentive and kind. 5 starsI ordered the Mexican omelette. Not my favorite because I didn't realize there was chili in it but that wasn't their fault. Everyone else LOVED their order. I'm getting eggs Benedict next time. Because my husband said it's incredible as well as the biscuits and gravy.Definitely recommend.

Great burgers! This place knows what they are doing. The flavors are WAY better than the average burger place. Food is cooked to order. Clean picnic area and food truck. A+. Friendly staff

Absolutely amazing food! Took my family here after spending the day at Lido Beach. Everything we had was delicious. The Opita burger was so juicy and tasty. My wife loved the grilled chicken burger and my son raved about the fried chicken burger. We also had the flank steak on a skewer, marinaded with a chimichirri sauce....so tasty.Staff was really friendly as well. Great little spot to grab some good food.
Short staffed and slow to get the food, but the waitress was pleasant and handled being over worked well.Ordered breakfast food. Greasy but this is a greasy spoon restaurant.Overall decent experience.Recommend if you want diner food with a diner vibe.

My family and I love opitas! We were able to track down this food truck into Sarasota when they were formerly stationed in Bradenton. For our Colombian burger cravings we always hit this spot. The first time I tried Optias I had the Hawaiian and still love it. Now I usually order the mixed Picada which is 10/10! All the flavors mixed together are spot on. My kids love the empanadas these are the closest tasting to back home in Jersey. Taste just like Noches de Colombia.

I can’t say whether the food was good or not. I showed up 20min after he was listed to be open & he either didn’t notice me or didn’t care to greet me. His only comment to me was -“Sorry we re not open for another 20 minutes.” I waited 20 minutes, then got out of my car & walked up back up to the truck only to find he wasn’t there. He must have enough business to open when he feels like it.
