The fried okra is to DIE FOR. The brisket wasn't the crisp but fall apart brisket you'd expect. It was more sliced like for a sandwich. Not so great. But the pulled pork was great without any seasonings or dip.

We got the spare ribs and brisket
Brisket way over cooked causing it to be extremely dry, the ribs were tough, and I had to walk back to waitress every time we needed a refill.

I came down for a visit and had a great lunch! The service was quick and friendly. The waitress/ bar maid worked her butt off. She was amazing. We never had an empty glass. The food was hot and delicious, and the chicken leg thigh was tender and juicy. The ribs were fantastic. I will be back on my next visit!

Let's start with the service. It was fantastic. We had an extremely nice waitress who was expedient with the service. The establishment was clean. There was not a wait time. Parking was ample. The food, especially the pork ribs, were delicious. Pricing was about what you would expect in a tourist destination. I recommend visiting this business.

I read don't want to do this but the pulled pork was really dry as was the baked beans. The coleslaw was the worst I've ever gotten from there. After me adding my own sauce it was then at least edible. I really like this place but after spending a hundred dollars I'm very dissatisfied.

I'm so happy that I finally had an opportunity to try this place out. Stopped in for a quick bite. And ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which came with two sides. My sandwich must have had at least a half a pound of pulled pork on it and it was so delicious and tinder. I ordered the collard greens and grits for my sides. They claim to have the best grits in town. So I gave them a try being a southern girl. Stating that you have the best grits in town is a big statement to make. The chees grits were wonderful and delicious and rich in flavor. I would definitely order them again. The collard greens were equally delicious and had a bite to them. Both texturally and in flavor. They were not cooked down to a pulp.Like you see at other places. They were tender and smoky. The pulled pork had a natural smoke flavor in the meat and was still juicy despite me arriving 30 minutes before closing. Staff was overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere with a small bar. Options to eat inside or outside are available. The in house, desserts are amazing, and I would highly recommend the pecan pie. The filling is unique and not overwhelmingly sugary and sticky, like most pecan pie fillings. Rather, it was more dense and had a plethora of pecans in it. Two people can definitely share one dessert. The portions are generous with every item on the menu. Fairly priced and lower than most barbecue places in the area. Had a wonderful time and we'll definitely go back again.

Terrible! Ran out of beef brisket at 5pm but didn’t tell us until after we ordered our drinks and were ready to order our food. Pulled pork and chicken had no flavor at all let alone smoke flavor. Smoked sausage was a HOTDOG. Bun was literally mush. Coleslaw was all mayo. Mac and cheese had zero flavor. Waitress was practically nonexistent. When she did come over and ask how everything was she walked away before anyone could even speak. All 5 people in our party had barely touched their food. Waitress asked if we needed boxes and when we said no she walked away. Typically a good waitress would ask if something was wrong at that point. Worst BBQ place we’ve ever been to. Won’t be back.

we got very sick eating here.
My parents love Pigout BBQ so when we needed catering for a family funeral, we reached out to Jimmy with Pigout - WOW! I wish I could rate this more than 5/5 stars! Jimmy was excellent to work with and was very sincere and truly wanted our experience to be as good as possible. We thought the pricing was very reasonable and the food was amazing. If I ever needed anything catered (or at the restaurant), I would totally return to Pigout! Thank you, Jimmy!!!

If you’re looking for a no-frills, hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint with solid flavors and big portions, Pigout BBQ & Southern Soul Food in Bradenton is worth a visit.
We ordered a half rack of spare ribs with pulled chicken and another with pulled pork, plus a mix of sides—potato salad, mac n’ cheese, baked beans, and mashed sweet potatoes—so we could try a bit of everything.
The ribs were the standout, with a great tangy and sweet BBQ flavor and a tender, moist texture. The pulled pork had a decent smoky flavor, but the pulled chicken tasted more like rotisserie chicken than slow-smoked BBQ. Both pulled meats were extremely juicy—almost too watery—but still enjoyable.
The house-made sauces were fantastic, with a choice between a sweet BBQ and a golden mustard-based sauce—both were flavorful and complemented the meats well.
Among the sides, the potato salad was my favorite. It’s made with a mix of regular and sweet potatoes, giving it a unique pinkish hue, which might be unexpected for some, but I loved it. The mac n’ cheese was a close second—creamy and perfectly cooked. The baked beans were good, but the mashed sweet potatoes were just okay. I noticed a lot of people ordering the fried okra, so that’s on my list for next time.
Portion sizes were very generous, and I even had leftovers—which is rare for me!
The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a classic hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint—casual, laid-back, and no frills. The service was friendly, not the fastest, but welcoming.
Overall, I’d definitely go back and try the smoked bone-in chicken, brisket, and fried okra next time. If you’re in Bradenton and craving BBQ, Pigout is a solid option!

Nothing great about this spot. Won't come back. Brisket was not brisket. No bark. They might be boiling the meat. Meat looked grey. We had several things. Nothing was good to be honest. Way below average spot. The server was nice. Prob the best thing I can say.
