We have been going for breakfast on Tuesdays as a group of about 12-16 men to Blue Surf for the past 3 months. Service from Tarea has always been helpful and timely. However, the situation today was a nightmare. Under new ownership, we have experienced nothing but problems. Last Tuesday, our bills had to be paid in cash or by putting our credit card numbers on the tickets, as the computer system was not working properly. Today, service was exceptionally slow and our bills never came after we finished eating. Tarea said the manager was "working on it." When I went into the back room to talk to the manager, he complained about the new computer system they had just put in not working. I asked him why he didn't come out to our table to explain things and/or come up with a work-around. He got indignant and said he was trying to fix the computer problem and we needed to be patient. I blew up! I yelled at him for not knowing how to be a manager and avoiding coming to talk to us. I told him that I would NEVER RETURN TO BLUE SURF! I will NOT be going back there on Tuesday's or any other day.

A sign on the door tells the story... this place has apparently been sold. The new name is Blue Surf American Grill, although the menus still have the old name. We had a decent lunch. I had their Chicken Parm Sub and my wife had a Gyro. Both were good, but nothing particularly memorable. Service was good and prices were reasonable. Hopefully the new owners have big plans for this place.

We had pizza, my wife also had a Ceasar salad, both we delicious. There were plenty of toppings on the pizza, the crust was really good tasting. The staff was outstanding and very courteous and friendly. We will definitely be back, we live in Venice but don't mind a little driving for an awesome pizza.

Went with a group around 11 on a Saturday and they offered lunch or breakfast, we all decided to have a second breakfast, everyone raved about their food. Place was relatively crowded and our food came out very fast and was excellent, now I want to come back and try their pizza and lunch menu.

This place (CBS pizza) is what was and still is Poppis diner now masquerading as a pizza restaurant. They still serve many of the diner items. Service is still slow, servers are forgetful. The antipasto is boring and bland very limited beer selection, desert offerings are rice pudding. No espresso, no cappuccino, no garlic bread. The pasta looks absolutely unappealing diner spaghetti with jarred sauce. We had their plain large pizza which cost a ridiculous $22.00 with no toppings, toppings are $1.50 each. The pizza is just plain bad, no flavor, doughy and again just plain boring. We went there because of the reviews and can't believe there's positive comments. I can't believe anyone finds their food appealing. This is obviously a sinking business, desperately trying to reinvent theirselves, same owner same cooks etc. This is at least the third identity change they've made. It's still poorly made diner food. Definitely not worth it. It's not Italian food at all.

Always a good experience! Have never eaten anything there that we didn’t love! The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The manager always stops by to talk and see how we’ve been. Relaxed atmosphere and we never have to wait very long to be seated. ??
Excellent prices and service. We are picky when it comes to sausage on a pizza and CB's is excellent! The Stromboli was crispy and delicious with a side of red sauce that definitely didn't come from a can. Chicken Parm dinner pounded out perfectly with pasta and garlic toast, suer yummy! Can't wait to come back!

An inspector observed approximately 40 rodent droppings along a wall in dry storage area underneath a wire rack. The storage area was near the cook line. An inspector observed rodent nesting materials along a baseboard in a dry storage area. Cooked sausage was cold held a temperature greater than 41 degrees. A stop sale was issued due to temperature abuse, and the sausage was discarded. Raw animal foods (chicken and beef) were not properly separated from one another in a walk-in cooler based upon minimum required cooking temperature. Corrective action was taken. A spray hose was placed lower than the flood rim of a sink. A can of applesauce was dented at the seam. A restaurant operator set the can aside for reimbursement. A food manager’s certification was expired. A slicer blade and a can opener blade were soiled. There was standing water in the bottom of a reach-in cooler. Coffee filters were stored unprotected from contamination. The interior of one or more reach-in coolers was soiled. The exteriors of stack oven doors were soiled. Plastic dishwashing racks were soiled with a black mold-like substance. Shelves under all preparation tables in the kitchen were soiled. Floors were soiled throughout the kitchen, behind equipment and in a dry storage area. The restaurant’s current license was not displayed. This review was about 3 years ago, when it was popis place restaurant, not CB. Not sure why it was moved over to the new site/restaurant. Maybe owned by the same family or group. I have never been to CB's pizza, and why it moved my review to here isn't a good sign.
