My first time here. It was amazing!!! Awesome food! Service was excellent! My family comes here a lot. I'm looking forward to coming back to Bradenton Florida so I can come here again.

Placed a to go order, was told to pick up in 20mins. It was a 2 item togo order, nothing excessive, we had to wait 1hr to get our food, we waited patiently but bartender was bothered by it and kept saying pretty much it was our fault for ordering a togo order on a busy day. If you can’t handle a busy day you should not be in the restaurant business or simply say you cannot take an order because your place can handle the amount of orders you have and don’t waste peoples time.

I’m sure the food and service is great but do not offer a feature to put yourself on a waitlist or claim there is no wait time when there is very obviously a long wait when you arrive at the location. We arrived after checking online and there was a 45 minute wait. Had the waitlist feature actually been accurate, we would’ve put our name on it before arriving. Better luck next time I guess.

I want to like this restaurant more. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere (inside and out) are nice. My wife really likes coming here on our annual trip, but every time I am disappointed with my food. I’ve gotten the chicken and waffles once and the chicken was like cardboard. Nothing but hard pieces. The pancakes are fine. Today I tried a sourdough French toast with chocolate ganache. I was very excited… The French toast was flavorless. Maybe that’s intentional because of the chocolate sauce coming with it but another disappointment for me. She tends to enjoy her egg based dishes so I would have to stick with that next time. But after waiting an hour for our breakfast to come out, I’m not sure we’re coming back. It’s Sunday (busy), but with two young kids, it just can’t take that long for a simple breakfast. I know most people love this place, so I feel bad writing a negative/average review but I’ve given it enough chances to turn me positive. For me, today was the last one…

Had breakfast. Thought price was high until got my food. Eggs were done perfect. Sausage patties juicey. Sage biscuit is excellent. Grits were hot and also very good (got there when opened 7am). Service was great. Sat outside and was not forgotten. Will be back.

A favorite place we have come to love! Breakfast or Lunch I always leave happy! The Fried Green Tomato sandwich is amazingly good! And the mimosas are the best around! This is another of our favorites of Cortez!

Everything we had was perfectly prepared and portions were very generous. Gravy was killer, eggs perfectly cooked medium, extra crispy chicken and the lemon, ricotta, blueberry pancakes 🤤
