This place was excellent. We struggled choosing a Chinese place with all the options so much that pops was ready to order dominoes. Glad we chose Shanghai. Everyone was very happy. I got Broccoli spicy garlic sauce with added fresh tofu. Everyone was jealous that I picked the best sauce. They even bagged mine separately (didn't ask for) which was appreciated as a life long vegetarian. I took the leftovers and made fried rice for 3 people it was too good. Only gripe is that it could have been spicier but it was perfectly balanced and super yummy the two times I ate it. Thanks! 😁😁🤤

My husband and I decided on Chinese take out, we had never eaten from here before, and definitely will never eat here again. I had a vegetable lo mein with tofu and it tasted like the smell of a dirty armpit. His chicken Kung pow had the worst tasting sauce ever, and even the spring rolls were gross. It was the worst Chinese I had ever had eaten around the United States. And that’s pretty bad.

We have had a hard time finding a Chinese go to restaurant with well made food, good service and clean. This place checks all the boxes and will be back. They were crazy busy ( New Years eve) staff was so friendly , my order was ready on time as requested and it was spotless.
Thank You and Happy New Year

This is supposed to be ā€œbourbon chickenā€ ….I cannot eat another bite of whatever this meat is. It is 100% absolutely NOT CHICKEN.

I’ll leave eating real American-Chinese food to being on vacation NOT in the state of Florida, because not a single item of it here is even close to being edible.

Has not much to do with Chinese food. All was sweet, even if we ordered spicy. Maybe there was Bbq-Sauce on it…? Not at all our taste! Sorry! Iā€˜m nice with 3 Stars

You missed the Mark this time, Shanghai. We’ve been visiting your restaurant regularly since 2021, Never with an issue. Tonight, we were shorted on an order of three spring rolls as it states on your DoorDash order option, and we are also missing an egg roll from a combo meal that you offer, and you won’t do anything about it. You’ve offered me a credit for the one egg roll and not giving me a spring roll at all when it clearly states you get three spring rolls in the order. I don’t like spending money for items I’m not getting. The value just wasn’t there this time. Here’s a picture of what I ordered, and a picture of what I received in the brown bag. No egg roll, two spring rolls instead of three, And then you tell me I should’ve only gotten one spring roll and the other one was replacing my egg roll. If there’s a typo on your DoorDash list, you need to get it corrected so that people know what you’re going to give them for that price. Had I known it was $2.95 for only one spring roll, and that you were going to replace my egg roll in my combo meal with a spring roll, I would’ve reconsidered my order. Then when I call you for what’s missing and you don’t want to do anything about it except say sorry and credit me next time for an egg roll? That’s a no-no.

Shanghai Chinese Restaurant is a true hidden gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. From the savory dumplings to the crispy General Tso’s chicken and their rich, authentic noodle dishes, every plate comes out hot and delicious. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the menu has something for everyone.

Great food but word to the wise. This is a 2 person operation so don't be in a hurry. Call your order in before you arrive. The food is fresh and portions are generous...love this place

The sesame chicken is great, the bourbon chicken was not, couldn’t tell if the chicken was actually chicken it tasted so different and off from the great bourbon chicken you get at another Chinese restaurant (one in utc mall) night and day difference between the taste

First time here, amazed by the flavor of the chicken & broccoli, lo mein and general tso chicken. This place is where you get real Chinese food.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The food was completely tasteless. My order did not come with any cutlery nor any sauce; not even one.
