PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Tried to catch this location open several times in the recent past during its limited hours. Never open and no signage to explain why. Tried today and it's Out of Business, with Notice of Levy signs on the place. Very sad - they had a good product when first opened here and a lot of support initially. The franchise seems beloved and revered in Texas. Not sure why this franchise couldn't make it here. Oh, well.

I'm giving one star but not for bad anything but it's 8:15am on November 9th 2022 and I came here and the doors are locked and they are closed and the sign on the door says their open from 5am-2pm and 7 days a week. This would have been my first time trying Shipley's donuts and I have to say I was really excited and now I'm disappointed and I honestly don't know that I will be back as I don't want to make another twenty minute drive back out here for it to be closed again when the hours state it should be opened! Now I do understand the lack of employment theses days but they need to update hours or make a note on google and they could put a sign on their door so that there customers are aware of why they are closed and when they will be open again

Went multiple times since the hurricane Ian and they have been closed...during open hours. Talked to someone and said they are closed permanently.Wish they would just put a sign up to inform us so we don't waste our time...

Best Donuts ever! I drive from Clearwater. I'm from Houston so it's great to have a Shipley close enough. Don't pass up the jalapeno cheese kolaches!

Best glaze donuts anywhere. Grew up with Shipleys donuts in Houston Texas and I was so glad when Florida got their first Shipleys and it happened to be in Bradenton

I don't know if the hurricane had any effect on closing but the store door says 5am till 2pm yet they're closed on 1pm. Although this is not the first time I've visited during open hours and their closed. Best donuts in Texas but what an absolute disappointment that the times I've gone y'all always seem to be closed, I've visited about five times now but I've yet to set foot in the store, such a shame that there won't be any kolaches for me till I go back home to Texas.

I couldn’t be more impressed with Shipley Do-Nuts. I’m a huge doughnut fan. It’s rare to find a doughnut shop that has its own unique taste when it comes to their Vanilla cream but Shipley Definitely has it. I highly recommend it. Prices are very reasonable as well!!

I'm sorry to read negative experiences from this shop. I LOVE Shipley! They have THE perfect donut and the hired help has always been wonderful. I've never had a problem, and I've made quite a few runs to them.Family of four.. all agree... SHIPLEY!

As a texan who knows Shipley's quite well, this was a disappointment. There were hardly any donut selections. It's like they only made a few options that day. They didn't even have chocolate iced. We came by early enough (on a Saturday around 9am) that there should have been plenty to choose from.

The employee who was working at the drive thru window was nice. The cherry iced is my favorite and I was happy that they still had them available at 11:00am.
Went to buy kolaches as they are hard to find in FL. Got the sausage, cheese & jalapeno & they were delicious.Also bought cinnamon rolls & a few donuts. Everyone found them to be tasty... they had a good variety to choose from. Only one person helping people both at drive thru & counter which I thought was odd.

Decent donuts, but I really wanted to try a blueberry filled and 6 months of stopping in a few times I had a gentleman that doesn’t speak much English say it perfect. “No blueberry”. I ask if it would eventually be an option…response “No blueberry”. So I’m done waiting for a specific item from their menu. The donut itself isn’t the star, the options were what I prefer. After this wonderful experience of them being out of most donuts and no desire to replace broken equipment. I’ll just find ANY other donut shop. This place is not memorable enough to care. Your loss

My husband and I go hunt up donut places when we travel. This time I wasn't the most thrilled. The donuts were on the thick side. Nothing really special about them. I personally like the donuts at ingles grocery store better. I will say the man that helped us was very friendly!
