I am unsure if they had a staffing issue last night. However, the staffing shortages seemed to be affecting every aspect of the restaurant. Upon arrival, it took close to 10 minutes to be greeted by anyone let alone the hostess. Then after being seated, it took another 15 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. In the meantime time husbands went to the bar to procure drinks for the table. The bartender seemed to be inexperienced and inefficient. Orders were eventually taken for...
My second time here and I love this restaurant. The food is very good and the service is even better. Very welcoming atmosphere. And the acoustics are good so you can actually have a conversation easily while dining.
Our first time at Sofra. It was Valentine's Day, so we didn't have the highest expectations. But, it was fabulous! I didn't actually care for the wine choices. The food however was excellent. It wasn't the regular menu which is understandable. We shared the Burrata salad, my husband got the spicy rigatoni, I opted for the charred octopus. Our server Michael was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
