Every time we visit Sarasota it’s a must to have dinner at Valentino, food is outstanding, great service and atmosphere, I recommend it 100%.
Went there for lunch today. Was excellent! I had the small Toni salad, was full of cheese and meat, more than enough for lunch. Husband had the lasagna, he said it was terrific. We would definitely recommend. The service was also good.
Great authentic Italian food. Can't wait to go back. Make sure to leave room for desert. The tiramisu is to die for.
We ate at Valentino's because we had a BOGO entree coupon from our birthday. I got the chicken Marsala and he got the chicken parm with pasta Alfredo on the side. Everything was delicious. The chicken Marsala was the best, very flavorful with lots of mushrooms. They also gave us two types of bread, garlic rolls and Italian bread. Definitely will be back, I want to try their pizza!
Very disappointing food. Service was great but the food was terrible. Lasagna was dry and had no flavor. I found a bug in my salad. Pizza is good here but everything else is awful.
Food is so so about average but it’s the service that was ridiculous we had a tall waiter who made us feel like we were lucky that he was serving us. He checked in when he felt like it in whenever we needed some thing he was nowhere to be found. This is not sour grapes because the food was good but when you feel so unwanted it’s hard to like a place. We even tried a second time to see if it was better but on our second visit we were treated worse. The very tall waiter has no business in food service
Excellent service. Pizza is very good. Eat here regularly. Will continue to come back.
I used to love this place until tonight. We ordered a large pie. Half pepperoni half meatball. The kid s delivered it outside and asked if it was cooked enough for our liking which I thought was odd. Well now i know why. We got home and the pizza so soooo overdone, you couldnt even fold it. There was 1 piece of pepperoni on each slice and only 3 slices had pepperoni. So surprised as we loved it in the past. I know places have a bad night but the pizza was so bad i dont think i will retuurn. Just being honest. Shame on uou Valentino!!! Sorry for spelling. Dont have my reading glasses !!!!
It truly pains me to write this... I've been a huge fan of Valentino's for years. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Ordered (2) slices of pizza. Asked for mushrooms. No mushrooms... Huh? Ok, stuff happens. Also , had a side salad and an iced tea. Now, remember, this is lunch. Just me. The bill was $26.99!! That included a $4 tip. Food is always good and I like to support our local restaurants during this pandemic but quite frankly, I felt gouged. Dinner maybe, but not 26.99 for a pizza lunch. Many outstanding restaurant's in the area with reasonable lunch prices and specials. Btw, place was empty at 1:30 hmmm. Sorry Valentino's.
Veal francese was tender, but sauce was just watery lemon. Junk. Wife's meal caused bad diarrhea - second time this has happened. They must be using old spoiled ingredients due to the virus problems. AVOID
After moving from NY/NJ I was most nervous about finding good italian food. This place did not disappoint so far everything we’ve ordered has been great — pizza, meatballs, pasta entrees .. etc!
I have been eating here for about 7 years and the food is consistently good and nice portions. I never had anything to complain about.tonight I had the Jersey platter which was outstanding.
In the Sarasota on an overnight weekend trip. We were looking for good Italian food (we are from NY). Stopped here and was not disappointed - the Toni salad was out of this world! The scillian pizza was spot on NY style.
Being a new resident to Sarasota and a long Time New Yorker the conversation with everyone we meet here typically ends up around how you just can’t get a good pie in Florida. For those of you in search of a great Pizza look no further. Valentino’s is awesome and on par with NY. The pasta is just as good and I now have my last bit of home sickness remedied by the pie at Valentino’s .
Good place if you’re interested in oven brick pizza. I had the “Bambino” dinner which is bowtie pasta with chunks of chicken with pieces of broccoli and tomato, tasted bland. My wife had the chicken Alfredo pasta, which was OK. Kids had a Large cheese pizza. I enjoyed the pizza as they did as well. When in town again I’ll try more of the pizza.
