The margaritas were good, the chips were delicious, Salsa very tasty, very boring atmosphere, dude bartender, very nice guy, but could have done way better had they had a woman or a guy with an out going personality. Food and drinks all around 5 š, employees 3š

The server on the heavier side (that wears glasses) gave me a HEAVY attitude. I did not like the service at all, she did not check up on us (coming from someone who works in customer service) will not be coming back anytime soon.

Ate here over the weekend for the 2nd time. The 1st time was mid & the 2nd time was below mid. The chicken in both the tacos & flaunta. The Flauntas were super dry. Over priced for something I can make just a gross at home. Tres Amigos is the place people!

I can't give the food more than a 3 because of the over salting. We have been here several times and like the food, but a problem has developed. Every time we go the food is saltier. Last time I had carnitas tacos, my wife picadillo, and my daughter had chicken tacos. The picadillo was the least over salted. My carnitas was too salty, and my daughter left her last chicken taco because she said it was too salty to eat or take home. I tasted her chichen an agreed. I wouldn't eat it either because it would send my blood pressure through the roof.

Visited this restaurant on Friday, with 10 family members to celebrate my momās 84th bday which included 2 of my grandkids who are on the spectrum. Ordered food for them as well, but due to their sensorial challenges, they were unable to eat it. We decided to order a pizza for them from across the street which their Mom picked up in the midst of the rest of us enjoying our plates. As my grandkids were enjoying their pizza, we were approached by the āmanagerā, who questioned why we had brought food from another establishment in and stated that this was some type of food violation and that because the kids were already eating the pizza, she wouldnāt take it away from them š«£š³ (like I would have let her, š£). Despite explaining the kidsā diagnosis to her, and the fact that it is not stated ANYWHERE that one canāt bring outside food, and that we had ordered food for them there and they couldnāt eat it, she insisted that it was not allowed, ruining our entire birthday dinner experience. Situation became very uncomfortable for all of us, and we were unable to sign happy birthday to my mom due to the heated and embarrassing situation. In speaking to the restaurant owner and after we pointed out to her there was no Florida law regarding that, she did admit that this was some type of internal rule and that we shouldāve disclosed the purchasing of the pizza to them prior to bringing it in. Like what were we supposed to do, let the kids not eat anyting while all of us ate ??? At the end, we had the kids food removed from the check, paid our bill, and tipped 20% to the waitress, who by-the-way, was also embarrassed by the situation, but took care of us very, very good. We all left so disappointed and with a very bad impression of this restaurant where it seems that families with kids on the spectrum are not welcomed. What a shame. šš”. We will not be going back.

We had a deeply disappointing experience at Chicken Taco Loco in Brandon, FL that needs to be shared especially for families with autistic children or anyone expecting respectful service.
My grandma made a reservation and we arrived with my two autistic siblings, both of whom have sensory processing disorders and very specific dietary needs. My mom ordered them chicken tenders and fries, but unfortunately, they couldnāt tolerate the food. To avoid a meltdown and ensure they had something to eat, my mo. quickly went across the street to grab them pizza something familiar and safe for them.
At no point during the reservation process, on their website, on the door, or on their menu did it say outside food was not allowed. We were seated and respectful. But instead of handling the situation with compassion or professionalism, a woman claiming to be the āmanagerā approached us with a condescending, nasty attitude, scolding us and saying bringing outside food was a ācode violation.ā
Not only is this not true we confirmed that there is no Florida law banning outside food; itās simply an internal policy but if it is their policy, it should be clearly posted. We were not warned, just humiliated. The way it was handled showed zero empathy, especially toward neurodivergent children.
We also spoke to the āownerā who offered no accountability, no apology, and no transparency. No one at this establishment seemed concerned with customer care, inclusion, or even basic kindness.
This place is absolutely NOT autistic-friendly. If youāre looking for a welcoming environment with quality food and staff who treat families with respect, I highly recommend Gran Agave down the road. Much better service, authentic food, and a truly family-friendly atmosphere.
We will never return to Chicken Taco Loco, and I hope they reconsider how they treat people especially vulnerable children.

We had a very disappointing experience at Chicken Taco Loco in Brandon, FL. We made a reservation and arrived with our two autistic children who have severe sensory processing disorders and very limited diets. We ordered chicken tenders and fries for them, but unfortunately, they couldnāt tolerate the food. Wanting to ensure they still had something to eat, I quickly went across the street to get them pizza something theyāre comfortable with. While the reat of our party ordered food.
At no point on their website, the menu, or signage does it state that outside food is prohibited. Despite this, we were approached by a manager with an extremely rude and condescending attitude, claiming that bringing outside food was a ācode violation.ā Not only is this false (we verified that there is no Florida law supporting this), but the entire approach lacked compassion, especially for a situation involving children with special needs. She went as far as to say she wouldnāt take the food away because they had already started eating it as if that were ever an option.
When we spoke with the supposed owner, there was zero accountability, no empathy, and no effort to de-escalate the situation or take ownership of their poor handling. If this is an internal policy, it should be clearly communicated to guests especially in a family-oriented setting.
If youāre looking for real Mexican food and a welcoming environment for families with children of all abilities, I strongly recommend Gran Agave. Their food is far superior, and their staff understands how to treat all guests with respect.
Sadly, itās clear that Chicken Taco Loco is not autism-friendly, nor do they prioritize customer service or inclusivity.

Walking into the restaurant is a lot of fun! There is a lot of art worked focused around beautiful horse paintings. Immediately upon entering, one can even saddle up and get a great selfie on a saddle with a nice Southwestern painting. Once inside, there are many appropriate decorations with cactus šµ and horses all around.
The bar has multiple beers on tap, a nice selection of unique tequila, as well as some whiskey. They even offer BOGO on Sangria (which is very good) and their beer.
The chips are plenty, and the lightly smokey salsa is great. We ordered the three street tacos, ground beef, choripollo, carnitas, and the chicken fajitas salad. I liked the beef and churripolo. Carnitas, in my opinion, could be slightly better, but we're still tasty. The salad was fresh and chicken spiced well.
The staff was kind and timely. Overall a very good experience with a lot of very interesting art.
