LONG STORY SHORT… don’t eat at China Max in Brandon Mall AKA Brandon Exchange. 🤢 🤮 @highlight their food court is all connected 😵‍💫

Went for a quick bite and got more than I bargained for. Yuck!

Food was tasty. They are always willing to let you have a sample to make sure the item meets your personal taste buds. Thought the portion was a good value. Enjoyed it multiple times and is a go to for me in this food court.

We just left the mall. We usually like China Max. Today we weren't hungry, but I sent my teenage son to buy a large coke. We took a drink and it was diet. No biggie. I figured she just accidentally gave us the wrong thing or misheard him or something. I sent him back to get the regular coke we were supposed to get. They argued with him and said it was regular. Even poured some of my drink into a seperate cup and 2 female employees tried it and both said it was regular. Then they gave him the cup back with soda dripping all down the sides. Im 44 and chunky... I know what regular Coke tastes like. I do not drink diet and even my son wouldn't drink it, so we threw the entire cup away. Waste of money and also, who drinks after a total stranger?...Gross. We weren't trying to scam or lie for a $3 drink, we just wanted it replaced. Needless to say, we def won't be going back there again for food or drinks!

They are thieves. I ordered a side order of white rice and she charged me 5.49. After I saw the receipt, I told her that the rice is only 3.99. She didn’t say anything but handed me $1.20 cents. The weirdest thing is that the girl who served rice put right price on the box and then the cashier woman crossed it out and put 5.49. And when I asked her about it, she didn’t give m any explanation just handed me $1.20. It all seems very good odd to me. Why did she change the price of the rice when she knew the right price ?

Terrible! Tried twice a month apart and both times food was identically TERRIBLE! Chicken hard and dry. Not even edible. Will never eat her again.

I got horrible food poisoning from this place! I had lunch with chicken and vegetables. It was worth experience

Be aware......China Max, located at 459 Brandon Town Center Dr. Space #FC3 in Brandon, topped the list with 24 violations during an inspection on Dec. 17, 2024. The restaurant was temporarily closed due to nine high-priority violations related to roach and rodent activities.

There isn’t anyone working here that’s speaks English. Literally none… I was there at 4 PM on a Monday. I got a pick three and an eggroll I had to point out everything I wanted because they don’t understand English. I sat down at the table and started to eat. All of the proteins were disgustingly chewy and in my opinion, not edible, as well as the eggroll must’ve been hours old because you couldn’t bite through it I tried to complain, but since nobody speaks English, they just shrugged her shoulders, as if to say nothing can be done because we don’t understand you. Do not ever eat here. There are three other food places in the same food court that serve the exact same food, and they are all better.

Very disappointed. Bourbon chicken didn't taste like Bourbon chicken and the chicken tasted burt. The boneless ribs was tender but over powered by 5 spice powder. Egg roll needs to be rolled into the trash. If the parking and traffic wasn't crazy around the mall I would return it. Not worth the hassle.
