My first visit, a weekend dinner, to this restaurant was excellent. Yes, the prices are "up there" but the quality of the food and the service was excellent. The crab was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the meat easy to remove from the hard shell. This wasnt the case on my second visit! The next visit was for lunch on a weekday. There was no one in the place and only one waitress on staff who seemed very bothered by the fact we were there. She wasn't overtly rude, but her curt and unfriendly demeanor made us uncomfortable. The crab itself wasn't fresh. The legs were soft and floppy, and I was unable to break them, so had to use a tool to slice open the legs. The meat clung to the shell so had to be scraoed out. The taste was old or overcooked. The cole slaw this time was very heavily laden with mayonnaise, to the point that all I could taste was mayonnaise. Gross. Certainly not up to the previous experience! Perhaps the weekday cook is different from the weekend cook and rhe weekday cook doesn't bother to taste the food.

After visiting this location it is much better than Jacksonville! The BOOM sauce was something seriously amazing. Charlie was a wonderful server! Very attentive and on time. We loved it and will be back!
Service was awful. Sat there for 10 minutes nobody even acknowledged us. So we got up and left.

If you like seafood where they put everything in a bag and boil it, then give Crafty Crab a try. I recommend the Boom seasoning which is a mixture of everything. We usually get the snow crab and shrimp boil. Makes for a great Sunday afternoon lunch!
