Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs

Alright, so my mother ordered food from this place since it used to be great and have amazing service and all BUT when we ordered today it came without the pepperoni we ordered and WITH HAIR that was disgusting. I tried to call the store and they transferred me to talk to them for a refund of a sort at least. NOBODY ANSWERED. Tbh whoever looks at this store please read the reviews first, because this store is becoming awful. I waited 20 minutes for them to answer!!! They're AWFUL.

Placed order from store #00168. When order was delivered it was missing product.I understand issues come up, however when I called in and spoke with Craig I received horrible customer service. He was rude and stated that it isn't his fault, his corporate office hired door dash to deliver and it's their fault. His only way to fix the situation was to credit products that I never received.

Great pizza

Having to call the call center for them to order it online for me is crazy I always ask for light sauce and never get it. I have an issue with eating a lot of red sauce so I ask for little sauce. And before you say just don't eat pizza I don't eat it on a regular basis but sometimes there's just that craving and light sauce doesn't hurt me.

Moved into the neighborhood, tried from as hell from my night… decided to order Hungry Howies. Driver delivered two pizzas + the bread sticks cool.

Open the 1st of pizza and realize they gave me CHEESE ONLY instead of pepperoni (my other pizza in the 2nd box was correct along with the bread sticks)… I immediately called the store to let them know, the mistake that was made.

The sweet younger lady who handle the call was great. After double checking several times with her boss or supervisor whomever, she told me… my correct order would be on the way… when the other pizza guy came who had a bit of issues finding my place handed off the pizza right there I opened it in front of him and I realized they send the pizza pepperoni pizza BUTTTTT! The send a small INSTEAD of a medium as originally ordered…

I told the driver to hold up. I need to get the plan cheese pizza that wasn’t mine… the driver said what do I mean? I said I need to give you back the incorrect pizza…. Driver SAID: I don’t want it and they never told me to pick it up.

The original order was packed from in house (that’s where the ISSUE is )… it really took a lot outta me NOT to drive over there and give them a warm BROOKLYN welcome.

But! I’ll do it even better! A friend of mine had planned to place a huge order on Tuesday for two entire football teams…I will be sure to advice not to place the order base off the experience I had.

Ate here most of my life as a kid cause I lived right across the street.my father raised me so there was always a hungry howies box either in the fridge or on top of the stove.they knew us by name and by order cause the order was the same everytime.25 years later and I'm living across the street again,placing the same order,me and my father used to get.thank you for years of baking the best pizza pies in brandon...

This was hands down one of the worst pizza experiences I’ve had. I placed an order for my family, and not only did it take forever to arrive, but when we opened the box, the pizza looked like it had been thrown together in a rush. The cheese was barely melted, toppings were all over the place, and the crust was soggy.

To make matters worse, the pizza didn’t taste fresh at all—something was definitely off. Within an hour, everyone in my household was feeling sick to their stomachs. I called the store to let them know, not looking for anything major, just some accountability—but the staff couldn’t have cared less. No apology, no explanation—just attitude.

I don’t expect fine dining from a pizza chain, but basic quality and respect shouldn’t be too much to ask. We’ll be avoiding this place from now on.

Ordered pizza from Hungry Howie’s tonight for my kids, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. As soon as my boys took one bite, they started complaining about their stomachs. I had two slices myself and within minutes was doubled over in pain with sharp stomach cramps.

I called the store immediately to report it, and the woman on the phone flat out told me there was nothing they could do about us getting sick. I had to ask to speak with a manager. When he finally got on the phone, he was just as rude—put me on hold without even saying anything, then I had to hang up and call back. When I finally got through again, he casually said, “Oh, I gave you a refund,” with zero concern or professionalism.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service and very concerning food safety. I won’t be ordering from here again.

I never thought pineapple belonged on pizza. Then I tried it. The contrast between sweet fruit and salty ham shocked me—in a good way. It’s not traditional, sure. But it’s bold, flavorful, and surprisingly addictive. Now it’s in my top 3.

I’ve been a regular of Hungry Howie’s for a long time. Lately something has changed with their pizzas. A couple weeks ago I ordered a pizza and it’s like the dough didn’t raise right. That pizza was awful. Ordered one tonight with extra sauce. The guy even said “double sauce”. Think he purposely sent me a dry pizza because I mentioned that my last pizza was pretty bad. Don’t think I’ll be ordering any more pizzas. Can any recommend a pizza joint that delivers. Think there’s been a change in management or personnel because for a long time my pizzas have been great.

Always friendly service with a smile and the food is excellent. Super fast for meals when it feels like the world is in a hurry, too. Highly recommend for any night though!! A+++

Bloomingdale and Kings, Brandon Florida. Always double check your order before you leave this location. As a mom, every single time I order from here I end up eating cold food because they have forgotten something or burned my food and I’ve had to go back to get it replaced. Only one time did they give me something extra and it was a cookie pizza and it was because I asked for it because I’ve had enough. But they are the closest pizza joint to me so this is what I get. But management, seriously retrain your staff. If they put food in the window, it needs to be correct. Why are they sending out burnt pizza and incorrect orders? I was finally not insanely exhausted tonight and was able to remember to check the boxes before leaving. And sure enough they messed up my order so I had to stay in there and wait until they fixed it. Granted it didn’t take a super long time, but they are consistent in that they jack up every single one of my orders. I stopped ordering extra pepperoni when I realized they were only putting three or four extra pieces on the pie. I may have to go the extra distance and find a better place.
Edited to add, sure enough I just got home. I ordered cheese bread and they sent me home with Howie bread. I have been eating there for three years now. I ordered there at least once a month. That’s approximately 36 times I have ordered from there and 36 times I have not gotten an order right. Y’all need to do better seriously.
