Stopped in for lunch today. Neither of us had eaten there in quite a while as we do not live in the area. We both left disappointed. Ordered the Cuban and Chicken Quesadilla at the counter and planned to share. Paid at the counter and added a 20% tip. The only thing the waitress did was bring our food 25 minutes later. We had to help ourselves beverages, utensils and napkins. Both entrees arrived lukewarm, not close to hot, or fresh off the grill. Food was subpar. Nothing good to say or bad to say except the entire experience was a disappointment.

Food tastes good a little pricey for them to serve you in plastic plates. If you want appetizers make sure you order those first cause if you don't they bring everything at once. We have been to the restaurant 2 times the first one we thought it was a mistake but the second time we noticed it was intentionally is how they do it. All the food all at once. Eat fast or everything will get cold. If they improve that part I will forget about the plastic plates.

Ordered a Togo family meal- would not recommend. The meat portions are extremely small. The rice and beans size was good but the rice was so salty and the beans were bland. The salad dressing was delicious. We won’t be back unfortunately.

Food is ok it’s definitely not authentic Cuban especially compared to many other local Cuban establishments that have historically contributed to the Tampa Bay area.
Service as a walk in was always quick and easy but dining in leaves something to be desired.
Waitresses can be flirtatious and a little forgetful they forget my ranch often when I order and carry out l, which I won’t be doing anymore.
I met a lawyer friend of mine for lunch there, my salad was good but the devil crab had too much breading and red sauce as filler. His steak didn’t look very appetizing either.
The waitresses weren’t attentive so we pretty much just helped ourselves to the sodas as it seem many others were doing the same thing.
I can honestly say I won’t be going back.

No wait staff but after ordering they bring the food to the table. Probably helps to control costs😉which is ok by me. Food is always good - especially the local soups and Cuban sandwich.

Don't try this if you don't like authentic Cuban food. It's good enough to make you slap yo mama.

Consistency is key and La Septima has this down. So good, every time. I would say a local favorite for sure. Thank you for serving great food to the Brandon area!

As a diner, I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. The flavors are rooted in Cuban, Spanish, and Italian traditions, delivered with authenticity and pride. Highlights include yellow rice & black beans, pressed authentic sandwiches, fresh seafood options, and hearty salads.
