Portillos was amazing. Just like I was in Chicago. If you have not been to this restaurant you must try it. The burgers there are the best.

My dog who passed away in March loved their strawberry shortcake. We did end of life photos in strawberry shortcake theme and even bought on from there. He passed a week later. When we told the people what we were doing they gave us an extra side of whip cream just for his end of life photos. I have these amazing photos to cherish forever

Went through drive thru and ordered two burger combos with chocolate cake shakes. The cake shakes were the whole reason we gave this place a try. We were traveling home and had 8 hour trip a head of us. After paying for order we were told at pickup window that shake machine was just turned on so it might be 15 minutes. No problem since it was 11 am so I went and got gas and came back inside. They provided the food but said they were still waiting on the shake machine. I waited another 30 mins, no one came to help at counter and I had to flag them down just to try to get an answer. The restaurant was not busy, maybe 10 guests in total, they were over staffed and still no one came to help. When I did get someone’s attention they would just pass the word to someone else and eventually someone asked if I wanted a refund for the shakes, which I did but still needed a drink to replace the shake. Horrible customer experience for first time customer.
I tried to follow the instructions from the store about the contact form, however you cannot use their form if you do not have the receipt number. I forgot to mention that they took the receipt saying they were going to refund the price of the cake shakes. I checked today and they did not. So once again poor customer service. If they wanted to look it up it would be an order yesterday between 1045 am and 11 am.
Ordered the big beef with mozzarella and hot peppers. It was the smallest beef sandwich I have ever gotten from anywhere. There was hardly any cheese and very little hot peppers. I also ordered onion rings and they were hard, burnt and dry. I ate it all anyway because I was starving. I left still hungry. I would never ever eat here again.

I adore Portillo's! They are simply the best. I make the hour-long drive to Brandon or Tampa just to dine there. My absolute favorite item on their menu is the beef and cheddar croissant. Wow, what an amazing sandwich! The meat is always exceptional, and their croissant, soaked in gravy, is out of this world. It's a unique treat that I can only find at Portillo's.
