White people sushi is how I would describe it. I didn’t have a bad experience food was just mid and over priced.Example Sarione in Tampa has galbi lunch special for $17.99 which gives you way more food and it’s a Korean restaurant not a Korean/Japanese combined restaurant

Sushi Maru definitely has a mixed reaction for good reason. The food is great, and their sushi chefs know what they're doing. I guarantee you'll be satisfied with what you eat. What you won't like are the prices, mainly the up charges on things like drinks and sides, 3.50 per soda.

This was our first time here, per recommendation. We wanted a sushi roll that was full of flavor with a bit of heat, the diablo delivered. We were recommended, chef’s choice, the Raising Sun roll. It was subtle enough to let the buttery flavors of the the fish shine. We were generously gifted with a cucumber and fish bite, and a round stuffed crisp treat. Which by the way were so good. The round stuffed treat was a burst of flavor. We also ordered the traditional sides. We will definitely come back and try other things off the menu. Everything was delicious and satisfying.
