Having been to New Orleans many times, I have a fairly high level of expectation when it comes to Cajun and Creole cuisine. I have to say, Tibby's lived up to it. The first thing you notice is the decor, it actually managed to have a New Orleans feel right despite being off Brandon Boulevard! Next was the menu. Luckily we had all studied it in advance so we were able order quickly. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, the meals we had were all extremely tasty and large...
Grits were cold and not the usual smoothly goodness, biscuits were hard as heck. Hurricane drinks were crafted amazingly. (Bartender with a beard did an amazing job). Service and ambience were amazing.
Variety of delicious options. The bar and the Hightop area is very nice. Sunday brunch with live smooth jazz musician is the perfect environment. My wife and I try to make it every Sunday.
