I loved Karen’s breakfast it is the best. I stopped in to try the lunch menu because I love the breakfast. I wasn’t impressed with the lunch it was really bland nothing like her breakfast. The cornbread was hard as a rock I broke it in half and it flew everywhere. I felt so bad after for the waitress(the clean up)😩they need to toss the cornbread it’s not even edible. They also don’t have a kids menu if I would’ve known that I definitely wouldn’t have came here today....
I got 3 lunches, the mullet, with fried okra and peas, the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and greens, and the pot pie with Mac and cheese. All was delicious. My first time, not my last. Oh, we also got the buttermilk pie, and coconut nut pie.
We enjoy our employee meetings here! Atmosphere is laid bake, country home in a Mom's Kitchen way. Food comes quick and served hot. Very good coffee too. I wish the wait team was a little more social, but they do their job well.
