Glory Days Grill Reviews
Every time we come to glory days we are always meted by Amanda, our favorite server. It’s such a nice home town feeling every time we see her and she remember all of our names. We know that we’re in good hands when she’s serving on us.
We ate at the Winchester, VA location. The service was excellent and I was very grateful for the Gluten Free menu. They even gave me my dessert on the house as it was my birthday! The food was delicious as well!
We just ate here on a whim on the way back to Raleigh from DC and omg. It blew us away. We need one in Raleigh!!! The BEST food we had our entire vacation. Hot, fresh, great service and huge portions for an affordable price. If you go, I recommend the wings, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese or the Monte Cristo (that’s what I personally ordered and IMO it was the best thing any of us ordered. It’s huge and delicious). Glory Days Grill is a casual pub and bar that offers standard American fare. The atmosphere can be lively and fun, especially for sports fans, as there are many TVs around and outdoor seating available. The restaurant is popular among families and locals, with a friendly environment and great daily specials. Customers have praised the service, noting that staff members are attentive, polite, and professional, even when busy. The food quality can be hit or miss, with some dishes like chicken breast, broccoli, and mashed potatoes sometimes arriving cold, dry, or mushy. Burgers have been compared to frozen patties, but some customers enjoy the rolls, which are a must-try for just $2.99. Wings are a highlight, often cooked perfectly and sauced well, with one reviewer mentioning they ate 18 wings from the endless wings special for $16. Other popular choices include steak cooked medium rare, cheese steak sandwich, ribs, and chicken strips, all cooked well but with simple seasoning. The restaurant’s to-go orders have faced criticism for long wait times and poor food preparation. Overall, Glory Days Grill is a laid-back sports bar with a lively atmosphere, but diners should not expect high culinary standards. The environment can be noisy, especially when families sit near the bar area, but many appreciate the friendly service and welcoming vibe.
