“It was better than the ones where we live (southwest ohio area). We only stopped bc the geandbaby was hungry, but hubby, who never eats fast food, went ahead and ordered himself something. He complimented. Not much more I can say than that. ??“

“Came in to Foxtail not knowing what to get and I asked Pia to make me something that was GOOD. Once I got my drink she made sure I loved it before I left. Just had to come and talk to Pia about how she made my drink. She went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my drink. Will definitely come back to this coffee shop, highly recommend.“

“DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE! Hands down 20/10, one of the best meals I have ever had (and it was just breakfast!) Peter and Peter are two top tier chefs and were SO kind and inviting - I am so grateful we found this place and will never make a trip to cocoa beach without making this a daily stop! Don’t skip the iced peanut butter coffee, stuffed French toast, and Açaí bowl ?“

“Such a lovely place!!! The community vibe is fantastic; it feels like a home away from home where everyone is friendly and open to conversation.
The kava itself was top-notch, with a great selection of strains that offered unique flavors and effects. The staff is knowledgeable and always ready to recommend the best options based on your preferences.
But for me, what truly set this place apart is the sense of community. It’s a gathering spot for people from all walks of life, and the regular events they host foster connections and friendships. Whether you’re a kava enthusiast or just curious to try it for the first time, Bula is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back!“
“’ve been to many different kava bars and they really nailed it here! The teas are amazing and the prices are great compared to other places. Everyone is super friendly and the kavatenders are so attentive! My glass is never empty!!! Highly recommend everyone come check this place out! This place is my new go to.“

“This is the best Boba place thus far that my family and I have tried. And the kids LOVE Boba lol, so we've tried a lot. The menu variety is the deal breaker for sure. **Just be aware of the sugar levels, especially for the kids. You can adjust it, but I didn't know until I watched them make the drinks the 2nd time we visited during our 3 day trip to Cocoa. Depending on the drink, it can be a lot of sugar. Otherwise, ENJOY, we did!!!“

“I am a pretty big 7brew fan, but I really wanted to give a shout out to Rae at the veira location! I typically go to the location in Palm Bay on malabar Road, but I happened to be up this way, and figured I would give the veira a branch a stop. Rae was SO kind and helpful!! I had such a long day, but their service always cheers me up!! Thank you 7Brew!!!!“

“Had heard about French Delights Bakery. We were in the area and wanted to try it. Spoke with the lady at the counter, and she said the owner bakes everything herself. Said the owner is from Nice, France. We sampled several different items. I honestly don't remember what my wife had. We shared a butter croissant and a chocolate, caramel hazel nut bar. We both agreed they were pretty awesome. The croissant was flaky and cripsy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. I had a lemon meringue tart. It was spectacular. My only disappointment was that they only make macaroons on weekends. I love good macaroons. That was what I really wanted to try. That was the reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5. For everything we got to sample, the taste was 5 outta 5. This is definitely a place we would go to again. I just have got to remember to go on weekends. If you are in Cocoa Village, you have got to stop by for some delicious French Delights.“

“This is a hidden gem along side the river just south of Cocoa Village. We stop here often when we are on the bike just to relax and chat with the owner. The service is great and the coffee is even better! We have tried many things on the menu and it never disappoints. The cinnamon rolls are sinfully dangerous! Small town feel, great ambience, great service and good food. What more could you ask for?!“

“Ossorio-Cocoa Village-4-Stars "Juuuuuuuuuuuust a bit outside." -- Harry Doyle Glancing down at my random place to stuff your gullet device, I noticed the name Ossorio Bakery & Cafe staring back at me. Looking forward to the peaceful drive up the coast, I hopped in the BBDO mobile and pointed her north. Cruising into Cocoa Village with Brenda Lee "coming on strong", I languidly turned into their parking lot and came to a complete stop. Looking this way and that, I couldn't spy a parking space in sight. Waiting patiently for a space to open up, I couldn't help but get a wee bit aggravated and think to myself what a mess this was. Pulling into a vacant spot I could only hope it was not an indication of what awaited me inside. Regardless, I reset my patience and with a silent, "Once more into the breach, dear friends", trod inside. Taking the Cafe part in their name to heart, you won't find a service professional awaiting inside to take your order, it is all self serve, including boxing any leftovers. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, just stating the facts, Ma'am. Reading the menu I picked up I was overwhelmed by the depth and diversity it offered, but as I continued to read it more closely, I noticed it was well thought out. Now, if they can execute at a high level, this could definitely be a 5 Star meal! I placed an order for a fire roasted sammich, Buddy's Beef to be exact, and a side salad that went by the moniker of Kendall's Fresh Salad. After placing the order, I went in search of an open table. Noticing that you can sit inside or outside, finding a place to ease my frame into wasn't all that difficult. I also noticed that they have an array of fresh, made by hand pastries, a wood fire brick oven for pizzas and a whole bevy of drink selections. All of the tables were patio style and reminiscent of Parc in Philadelphia (if you haven't read that review, that was a 5 Star joint). While Parc is pure, unadulterated French, Ossorio's is clearly new American. Being notified that my order was up, I brought my mind back from the City of Brotherly Love and proceeded to the counter to retrieve my items. As I sat back down with my order, I couldn't help but note how appetizing it all looked as well as smelled. Digging into Buddy's Beef sandwich, I was first taken in by the freshly made baguette. What a delicious hunk of bread this was. With a crunchy crust and a springy, moist interior, it was everything a homemade baguette should be and more. If there was any knock on the sammich at all it had to be the quality of the beef. It wasn't low grade, to say the least, but it certainly didn't taste nor chew like USDA Prime either. The Provolone was miles above the quality you find in chain sub shops and was obviously sliced on site. Turning my cutlery towards Kendall's salad next, I dug my fork in and moved it around a bit. The salad was a simple spring mix, nothing earth-shattering, but a standard play on a common salad. The greens were indeed fresh, the almonds still warm from being toasted. the apples were nice and tart as Granny Smith's are known to be and the blue cheese crumbles were the real deal. The balsamic dressing drizzled over the top of the whole shebang was nice and tart, again, nothing spectacular, but well above average. My experience was just that, my experience. I found the staff friendly, the interior pleasant, the parking a nightmare and the food just this side of receiving a 5 Star review. The execution was adequate, though the quality of beef could see just a smidgen of improvement. I rather enjoyed the self-service aspect of the place, though I do also enjoy the human interaction that comes with table service. The savings in overhead must be reflected in the price and that is something in today's world with which we all can live. The Big Boy says, "for above average grub, friendly staff and an eclectic menu and vibe, make a point to stop in at Ossorio's Bakery & Cafe.&qu“

“what an awesome experience my GF and I had here. I love the staff, I adore their coffee. Smoothies are delicious!! Muffins are soft and tasty!! Love Katie she is amazing ❤️ thank you for taking good care of us!!“
“Delicious coffee!! So much we came the second day- we usually like to try new places each day we are visiting a new place. Friendly, sweet staff. Warm welcoming atmosphere. It was relaxing, not the hustle and bustle loud type coffee shop we are used to. We ordered a breakfast burrito- it was fantastic. Highly recommend. Bonus- they support things like non profits and small entrepreneurs, I’m always up for supporting a place that does that. Thank you for the great experience.“

“Thank you, Olivia at the drive-thru window for making my day, yesterday! Your smile and friendliness alone were enough, but you went out of your way to freshen my drink for me without me even asking when I got delayed for my mobile order. It's the little things that can be big thing for someone. Thanks, again.“

“Water's Edge Cafe and Tackle Shop Port Canaveral, FL 4.5 Stars ****Hidden Gem**** I have this buddy from high school who use to go deep fishing with his dad and brother in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico every year. He told me that one year the fish just weren't interested and that he and his brother were looking at the bait bucket and getting hungry. They were using Japanese Mackerel for bait, otherwise known as Aji at a Sushi joint (one of their favorites). One mention of this to the patriarch and before you know it the three of them were chowing down on the bait. The crew looked on in stunned silence as the three of them scarfed the whole bucket down in a matter of minutes. Why do I bring this up? Well, that was what I was thinking when the name of the next place appeared on my random name generator Water's Edge Cafe and Tackle Shop. This place had been and still is a tackle shop. Back in 2017, someone got the bright idea to forage into the foodservice industry and opened a cafe attached to the bait shop. Upon entering, I felt like I was in the local Walmart as they had just about everything needed for fishing of any kind for sale all over the place. This is some tackle shop! However, the items for sale seemed to have been at least partly venal as they had 3 tables open, three waiters and I sat for four minutes (which is an eternity in an empty place). I was finally shown a table and handed a menu. The cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch with limited operating hours. The menu was, as you can see, varied without being too visionary. Hey, if it's your first foray into the biz, I always say, "keep it simple." My waitress was Kelsey and I am on a roll lately with wait staff as she has a great personality and just oozes gregariousness. I asked her for some shrimp and grits along with an order of Corned beef hash. As she left to turn in my order, I took the time to look about. The place has gorgeous views of a cruise ship today and the waterway every day. Returning with my order, Kelsey asked if I needed anything else then left me to enjoy my meal along with the aforementioned view. The grits were fresh, creamy and cooked to perfection while I found the shrimp to be tender and succulent on the palate. The Corned beef hash was obviously made with care and was bursting with flavor while I found the home fries to be made to order and entirely delectable. The biscuit was also made to order and would make any Grandma double-check her recipe. Honestly, I went in expecting a thoroughly milquetoast tasting experience and came away completely in love with the place. This is our first Hidden Gem since the post-Covid return of The Big Boy and I can't recommend the place enough. In truth, the only downside was that everything was served in take-out containers (no doubt due to Covid). The Big Boy says, "If you are in need of anything having to do with harvesting fish out of water or yearning for some fantastic food, the Water's Edge Cafe and Tackle Shop should be your go-to place!"“
“Great concept. Very cool shop. Nice and friendly owner. The highlight for me though was her large collection of rare and obscure DVDs ?. They are well priced too. They are fun to just look at. The DVD collection alone is worth taking a trip to check out.“

“What a great staff. We showed up in the middle of a torrential downpour during Hurricane Debbie. The staff had towels ready for us to help dry off in the lobby while checking in. Room was nice and clean and big. The staff at the Bistro was super friendly and made it so we didn’t have to leave in the middle of a storm to grab dinner. Thanks to everyone at the hotel.“

“Cafe Monte Carlo- Cape Canaveral- 3.75-Stars "Don't judge a book by its cover" -- G, Elliot In pursuing my goal of reviewing every eating establishment on the Space Coast, I have learned a lot about our lovely state of Florida. For example, not knowing how to drive and/or park is not limited to out of state plates, Publix stores anchor a multitude of strip malls, and Florida is chock-full of dingy, seemingly run down and forgotten by the tides of time, strip malls. These little guys are hanging on for dear life all up and down the coastal roadways. Sometimes, they hide a pearl worthy of dive by an Ama (Japanese pearl divers) and while I didn't know it at the time, that was going to be the case here. The new paint job the building was boasting could not hide the fact that it was at least 20 years old and in dire need of modernization. Looking around as I entered and approached the counter I couldn't help but notice the inside wasn't all that much better. While it was clean and orderly, it also was begging to enter the 21st Century. Apprehensions based on looks set aside I boldly placed an order with our Server, Andrew, for a Croque sandwich on a croissant, biscuits and gravy, one Monte's grilled 3 cheese on white bread and a cup of their Cuban espresso. The thing I love about an open kitchen such as the one you will find inside Cafe Monte Carlo is that well, it's an open kitchen. If it's dirty, dingy, and greasy I have found that often so is the slop slung forth, This kitchen sparkled with cleanliness and care. Watching the cook grill our sandwiches made me think that they might not be so bad after all. Andrew soon returned with our food and it was time to go to work! The Croque sandwich can come in a few different ways and I ordered mine with ham on the aforementioned grilled croissant. The ham was not fake processed meat stuff, but the real honest to Jimmy Dean deal. It was sliced deli thin, piled high on a bakery fresh croissant and then topped with an egg cooked to a perfect medium. The whole thing was then topped with some of the best tasting and most unique bèchamel sauce I have yet had. Made with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a dab of mustard really made it stand out and brought the sandwich to a completely different level of gastronomical heights. The biscuits and gravy reminded me of the building I was in by their mere appearance. They did not look very appetizing, but I had a job to do. With one bite I knew I was in the South. These were not your plug and play, frozen, preformed biscuits, no Ma'am! These were the real McCoy handmade biscuits fresh out of the oven and they were delicious. Slathered atop these icons of biscuits was some of the best sausage gravy I have yet had. The sausage was fresh, complex in taste and cooked correctly, while the gravy was obviously made by my great grandmother as there is no other explanation as to how incredibly flavorful it was (please return her, she is missed!). Next up on my to-do list was the Monte's grilled 3 cheese on white. With a gooey interior of a melted mass of Swiss, Cheddar and Provolone cheese the sandwich would have been gold as is, however, add to that bacon and a vine fresh tomato onion chutney and you have sandwich platinum, baby! Oh, sorry, I got caught up on the inside with ya know bacon, the freshly baked white bread was grilled to a perfect crunchy hue and added a nice base for the baco...I mean grilled 3 cheese. With a menu boasting 11 types of java, it would seem that they are attempting to put the coffee back in cafè and they do an excellent job at that. My Cuban espresso was not only aesthetically pleasing but done properly with the correct amount of boldness one expects from Cuban coffee. It was a perfect ending to a rather enjoyable and surprisingly delicious meal. The Big Boy says, "For a unique and tasty take on a grilled cheese, an excellent cup of Joe and more, overlook the outside setting and hit this place up!" #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout“
